I actually think that the first one is better because the whole movie trilogy thing just started and it's more exciting. I DON'T KNOW! I just want to know your opinions about your favorite(s) and why you picked that one. I know, pretty dumb subject right? neutral

The first one. The sequel sucked worse then Pocahontas 2. (If you've seen Pocahontas 2, you'll understand how much of a burn that was.)
Right now, I'm trying to forget they even made a sequel. (It's never a bad thing to let a series have a quiet, dignified death.)
The only thing I really liked about the sequel was Tia. She made the whole damn movie. All five minutes she was in it. She has this porn star thing about her that makes me want to hump her leg. mrgreen
Personally, from what I've seen, the third one looks to be just as lame. crying

I like the first one better, too. But hopefully the 3rd one will match it now that they actually had time/knew what to write. I think the reason the 2nd one was a little disappointing was because someone (either producer or director) decided almost last minute that they wanted to make it a trilogy and then the screenwriters had to work pretty fast to get it finished.
But, I think the second movie went a little overboard on the humor. It felt more like a comedy than an action/romance movie, especially in the beginning.
Can't wait to see the 3rd!

Oh no. It was that bad. Don't presume to tell me when I'm exaggerating, either.
The writing was awful, Jack was a ball-less pansy, Elizabeth was a b***h, and Will was an idiot. The bad guys were intensely lame, not at all threatening, and they made all the characters, all fairly brave in the first one, crap their pants looking at these poor excuse for villians Davy Jones has more in common with the Dixie Chicks then anything resembling evil.
That and they went to that damned cannibal island, left us there for forty damn minutes that I'll never get back, and there was NO PURPOSE to it. Anyone have any clue why there were there? Especially since Jack mentioned the damn island in the first movie, so he would have KNOWN what kind of place it was. Why take the chance? Jack wasn't that stupid in the first one, why make him that stupid in the second?
Not to mention the "humor" in the movie wasn't that humorous, and the "romance" was fiercely lacking. It was all very poorly written. It didn't hold a candle to the first one, and to tell the truth, if I had seen the second one first, I wouldn't want to watch the first one. Don't even ask about the third.
Actually, I don't think I even want to see the third one. But I'm gonna because my friends are going to. So I can only hope the writers have redeemed themselves by then, but knowing the trend of Disney sequels, that probably isn't going to happen. From watching the previews, I have the feeling that I'll be going back to pretending they didn't make sequels.
The preview for the next one was boring to me. So I'm just going to go in expecting to hate it. If it's good, I'll be pleasantly surprised. sweatdrop

well, I think the third. Because I've only seen the trailer on the big screen and I think I had to touch myself a little with excitement!! xp I'm so excited for this and I've read parts of the script and OMG it's going to be amazing.
But, I love all of them. It's like they're my soul. Like, if I could go into a coma, and live in Pirate-Land with Captain Jack, I would jump infront of the next bus I saw!!
I love the story and the over use of plot lines *laughs at Askaninja* it's fantastic.
