I'll start with my opinion - they need to stay in their own country, that's for certain. We can't just keep LETTING people into the country - however, there is no easy way to kick them all out and keep them out. For America, I think we should pull ourselves out of Iraq and start the fight against poverty so these people don't feel a NEED to illegally cross the border into our country. I mean, from experience, we could build an 80 foot electric, 10-foot thick fence with armed guards every 100 yards, and you know what? People would still find a way to cross the border.
Another note - they are going to come back if we take their children. I realize they were BORN in America, but they were born to MEXICANS - you either let the parents stay or kick the kids out too, they WILL come back if you take their children from them. I mean, come on, wouldn't you?

Apparently at the moment loads of Polish people are coming to England to work; whether legally or illegally, I don't know. I've yet to meet one. x3
I don't really have any opinions on illegal immigrants, since I don't know enough facts to form any (didn't I say that about something else too? Shakespeare wasn't it?) but what I really get sick of is hearing people in my year go on about how 'they' (illegal immigrants) don't pull their weight, and are living off the taxes of hard-working people like 'us'. Apparently a lack of facts never stopped them from forming opinions, opinions which basically come from their parents. Do the kids in my class pay taxes? Nope. But it doesn't stop them from complaining about where the money supposedly goes.
Actually, there's a poem that we've been studying in English that could be interpreted as mocking the way people think of illegal immigrants. It's a satirical thing called 'Rat, O Rat...' - has anyone here read it?
