Kagemaru walked slowly through the gates of the prison complex with the small vial in hand as he made his way down towards the experimantation area. "My my Shen why did you have to leave us in such a crucial time?" muttered The Kage as he placed made it to the lab and placed the contents of the vial into a petri dish which he then put within a freezer before leaving. "Well my friend your memory will live on in this time of war." Kagemaru sighed.

After a couple of minutes one of the subjects was injected with the dna from the sample and immediatley a change occured spontaeneously mutating the subject into a curse seal uchiha form, the subject then burst forth from his chamber with screaming with rage. Kobu watched the being carefully...... he had finally perfected his process by infusing the strong uchiha blood infected with the curse seal to the already strong subject giving him life and power but as soon as a smile crept over Kobu's face the subject buckled over with pain before falling to the ground dead. "Damn it! What is wrong this time?! What could be the problem ?! I have done everything perfectly but something is missing................ I have it I know what is missing. Why it has been infront of me this whole time........ The hero water........ I need to use it to provide a stronger base in which to temper my subjects." Spoke Kobu to himself his mind already calculating the possibilities.

As Kobu examined the cellular structure his thoughts were confirmed, the body had rapidly begun to die once it had left the life support tank, it's cells had withered and died once exposed to the air. After hours of more research he found something that he hadn't imagined, the DNA of the subject had also deteriorated but this was a cause of all the experiments done and if he wanted the subject to survive he would need more samples of various DNA.

After the DNA had been filtered Kobu took the vials and attached them to their corresponding subjects. Immediatley the changes became apparent as the subjects infused with animal DNA took on the characteristics of the DNA's creature while the plant infused subjects took on a more cellular change as their bodies mutated.

"The war has begun and as of yet we are alone in neutrality but...... with the Gobi under my control we have no fear of invasion nor defeat at the hands of any of the rival village's. I have yet to fully control the beast but with study I may be able to finish my experiments without the need of the hero water, I will attempt to use the Gobi's very own DNA and chakra to sustain my subjects." Whispered Kobu to himself as he logged all of his notes.


"So your absence wasn't a waste of time, I hear you've used your new toy to defend Leaf from an incoming Suna attack........ I know that you hail from Konoha but Sunagakure is our best chance of an ally and with the other hidden village's dormant in this war we can't afford to jeoperdize our relationship!" scolded Kagemaru as he read through all of Kobu's research.

"he's right I have to make sure that no one finds out what it is im doing.... but how exactly am I to do that?" whispered Kobu to himself trying to think of how he would go about his plans.

For days Kobu stays within his lab and uses his machine to withdraw great amounts of chakra from the Gobi only letting it rest until it regains it's energy only to be absorbed again. "you stupid beast.... without any control over your self your no more than a helpless mongrel." whispered Kobu as he filled his fifth canister with energy. As it's powers were being taken the Gobi having been once in a host tried to communicate with the scientist but to no avail and since it was powerless to do anything being out smarted at every turn the beast could only comply and remain within the containment chamber.
