Everyone knows that we all chose our elements for certain reasons. Power. Personal preference. Practicing creativity. And so forth.
What I'd like to know is: why? Why did you chose your element? Whether the explanation is long, and detailed, or simple and sweet, let us know.
((ALSO: Feel free to chat about other people's choices. Keep this thread ALIVE!))
Since I'm asking, it'd be rude to think I could exclude myself. So, here it is:
Water is life. All life on Earth is dependent on it, whether as a place to live, such as the fishes, eels, whales, or to drink, for mammals, birds, reptiles. It serves as an inspiration, as a driving force. Plants, animals, fungi, all manner of life require it to survive; without, death would pervade.
However, just as water is the giver of life, so does it take it away. Storms develop into massive hurricanes, and typhoons. Tsunamis ravage coastlines and destroy all in its path. Rain brings floods to the driest deserts, and drown those who would oppose it.
This is the influence of Water. This is the power of Water. From the smooth, calm drop, sliding down your arm, to the lake with calm, smooth, metronomic waves, to the roaring ocean, to a vast tempest; the potential knows no bounds. Water knows no bounds.

Well, I picked Ice because I love winter and all of the stuff you can do in it, like snowboarding and snowball fights. I also picked it because it seemed like a distant and slighly lonely element, and I thought it kinda reflected myself.
ICE PWNS WATER!

I chose air because of the sheer reason that to me, it resembles freedom. I dunno what else I can say. -shrugs-

Ah, Fire... How I love thee.
Fire was and still is an esential part of most civilizations. It gives heat, it gives light, and it gives power. He who first had fire was probably made a king, or at least lived a good life.
Fire...
It burns for us whenever needed, it stops the freezeing cold of winter. It produces light in the darkest cave.
Fire...
one of the most holy things. One that saves lives and heps things grow. The seed of the yellow stone park pine could not be spread or grow without the heat of fire.Man would have died out long ago, had it not been for fire.
Fire...
But just like it carterizes a wound, it can burn and kill. It can sweep througha city and bring all to their knees.
Fire...
The flame can burn and destroy man, woman, and child. It can kill the wildlife and burn down trees.
Fire...
It can cause global warming by makeing CO2 but also slows it with the creation of H2O.
Fire...
It is the pureist form of energy. From Nuclar fission to fusion. To chemical recations to physical. It is the essence of energy and power.
Fire... How I love thee.
It is the sun! It is the stars! It is what made every element. From Hydrogen to Plutonium.

You should watch "Quest for fire". It's about how the neanderthals and cromagnons (Yes, there is a bit of a timewarp throughout the movie) had to go off to find fire since theirs went out and they didn't know how to make it yet. The very first thing that happens is a fight over fire in fact. XP'
I think water is better then ice, only because ice is a subdivision of water as a whole. u.u
And as for my element, I chose none. XD' So I don't really have a response for why I picked an element, moreso why I didn't.
Here it is: I'm too picky. XD' And why I haven't picked one even after slots were open: Can't side with any one element now. I lurves all of them and their members. Well...most of the members anyway. XD

Perhaps I should!
Also the neanderthals and cromagnons lived in the same time period for a time. But then the Cromagnoms kinda beat their cusions and became us.

Well, originally, the element of my RP character of Asuko was Wind, for some random reason, and so I built onto that.
But, its also that wind is extremely powerful.
Without wind, there would be no weather.
Without air, there would be no life on land.
There are thousands of possibilities when you manipulate the wind/air, and finding them all is half the challenge! 3nodding

There's one thing my Master (Kiyo/DarkShock) told me once: "Lightning never takes a straight path; why should we?" ...Or something like that but you get the idea.
Staying in one place or following the crowd is something I can't do. With the Thunder element, I get to let my imagination loose and do whatever the heck I can! (Though I'm positive you can do that in other Elements.) Moving fast and zapping things into subbmission is always a fun thing to do!
The first Element Rp I joined was the one I met DarkShock in. I was an Air elemental and he was, of course, Thunder. Even after everyone else seemed to leave it, we stayed and carried on for ageees. All his little stunts and stuff is another reason why I chose the Thunder Element.
