First off: No, you're not. I'm my only guitar hero.

Moving on, I want to know if any of my real life friends (defender158, kenhensai, circumambient) have played Guitar hero 2 (or GH1), and how far they've gotten in the game.

Though, don't let that stop you other...people from posting here. This is basically here to discuss both Guitar Hero games. (I just want to know if me real life friends have played it, seeing as I'm most likely gonna pull the game out to play the next time you guys come over for a party or somethin'.)

To answer my own question, I've played Guitar Hero 2 for about a week now, and I'm working through Medium mode right now. I've gotten five stars on all the songs in Easy mode, which is what I seek to do in Medium mode.

So...any of ya'll play it?

I have no money, hence no Guitar Hero.

I would most likely buy the Xbox 360 version, simply because I'm too lazy to try and track it down for the PS2.

I've played it twice.

One time was at a game convention (Otronicon).

The other was at Wal-Mart.

With a little warm-up time, I bet I could be really good at it. After all, I have the basic (and not-so-basic) timing down from Dance Dance Revolution. All I have to do is just have to transfer it to my hands.

Really, if you do get the money, you could find Guitar Hero 2, bundled with the Gibson Bass Guitar (I think that's what it is called) for around eighty dollars. I, unfortunately, don't know how much the Xbox 360 bundle would cost (or if there even is one), but I suppose you could just walk into a Wal-Mart, Target, or any store that sells video games and find it.

Heh heh...if only it were that easy.

Well, it wouldn't be easy for me, seeing as I am no good at DDR. So, if my "skillz" in DDR translated over to Guitar Hero...well...yeah, you get the point.

Anyway, I'm sure if you do the opening licks on easy mode, you'll be fine for...most of the party. I wouldn't be too eager to join in on the Medium mode fun, unless you have really quick fingers and are really good at adapting your skillz.

Then I should be good to go once I get my basic guitar-handling skizzles down.

Good to know. I want at least one person to be able to play Co-op mode with me without screwing up in a horrible, horrible way...

Double posting = Sin; therefore, I have sinned.

With that aside, I am now on Hard Mode on Guitar Hero 2....and it's kicking my a**...

I certainly have the reflexes when it comes to pressing the the strum bar, but when it comes to moving my fingers across the fret buttons...I tend to have problems.

With that aside, I can now play almost every song on Medium and do really well (meaning I can get five stars each time I play the song). How are you guys faring so far?

That's odd, because the strum bar (now I know what it's called!) is the annoying part for me. Probably because the strum bar doesn't transfer over into DDR terms.

Yeah, I could imagine playing DDR in which you had to press the "strum" bar. I don't know if I'm correct but it'd probably be something like this: To get the game to fully realize that you made a "dance step" (i.o.w. - stepping on one of the arrows), you would have to press and extra button in the middle while doing the step.

And seeing as mostly every human being only has two legs, that would be extremely hard. It would also make the game look like a frantic version of twister.

I've played a dance game before with a button in the middle (though you didn't have to hit it every time), but I forgot what it's called. Besides. I'm trying to block out the memory of that. Without the option of standing in the center, I am NOTHING!!!

If that's the one in Disney Quest.

(I just noticed something. Disney Quest. DQ. Something different.)

I'd much rather have Guitar Hero in there.

I wonder if they've finally fixed DDR...
