i'm reserving this particular bubble for extra info. also may we turn this in to a sticky as the guild grows please?

Done wink Thanks for creating this thread, it's a good idea. I'll round up any links I know of and post them sometime next week... I'm about to have to get offline for tonight and after that I won't be able to get on all weekend, so it'll be at least Monday before I get the chance.

http://www.gracellewellyn.com/

Grace Llewellyn writes books about unschooling but she also has a great website with lots of information on it. Also of course you can find out more about her books from the website... I've only read one of them but I love it and I'm sure the others are good.

http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/

A website I stumbled across quite a while back. I haven't looked around it all that much but I usually like what I find. The humor link has some funny stuff.

When I come up with more I'll add them to this post.

ABC Teach

This has samples of their materials, the annual membership is CHEAP, and if you're homeschooling a primary school-aged child, the resources are fantastic. I use this with my son! He LOVES the word-search puzzles!

SchoolExpress

This site has some great worksheets, including some personalized practice handwriting sheets.

I found these links helpful for Ontario Canada Homeschoolers
There is a nominal fee to join the OFTP but they help just about anyone who asks and members are entitled to a news letter and yahoo chat area.

The Ontario Federation of teaching parents is an invaluable resource for teching parents in Ontario.

The Policies and procedures memorandum 131 has given parents in Ontario many more rights and protection as far as homeshcooling goes. here are some links to information about it.
http://www.ontariohomeschool.org/ppm131.html

It basically states that sending a letter at the beginning of each school year is sufficient proof of satisfactory education.

articles written about homeschooling.
if you are a regular of the ed and gd forums you will occasonaly run in to debates for or against homeschooling. these prompted me to make info dump sources to assist us in debates against those ignorant types that insist we are all paranoid, isolated sociopaths that hide in our rooms and avoid reality. please feel free to use them and or add some of your own. i'll be here most of today wednesday the 24th of jaunary reorganizing all the links on this page and checking for broken, repeated, or outdated links.

i found articles interesting and i shall post links as i find them.
