I can't understand the effect for victory dragon. Is YVD wrong? It says

Quote:
This card cannot be Special Summoned. To Tribute Summon this card, you must Tribute 3 Dragon-Type monsters. If this card attacks your opponent directly and reduces their Life Points to 0, you win the Match.

I do not know much about Yu gi oh and I find this effect confusing.

(sorry, I thought I posted this in the card section)

In the game of Yu-Gi-Oh! games are called Matches.
Each Match is divided into three duels.
The player that wins two out of three duels wins the match.

Victory Dragon breaks that concept through its win condition.
Basically, if your opponent has enough Life Points for you to wipe them out using Victory Dragon as your final attack, you win the entire Match, as opposed to just one of the Duels.

EDIT: By the way, this goes in the Card Rulings subforum.

Well what she said lol.

Even though... the effect is useless, since your oppenent can chose to give up before victory dragon even gets to make a killing blow.

In Japan, it was ruled that one can only scoop during your own turn.
Thus making the card useless here.

And I'm a guy...

EDIT: The original deckbuild was also made to force your opponent into a topdeck(with use of the Tsuku-lock), and then use Victory Dragon as a finisher.
