Ok... I tried out for high school band. And I got 5th band (aka: LAST) 2nd chair of about 8 clarinets. Is that really bad?

lol i wish so much that we had auditions for school music......granted I probably only do because i'd be principal in "1st" band...but we do it by age.

I don't know does your school have a good music program?

We only have one concert band and you just have to know how to play an instument. There was this one flute this year who only knew the notes in a C major scale and couldn't read music! He had to have private lessons from the drum major during band camp.

My school has two diff bands and chair positions in highschool.
I'm going to highschool next year and I'm probably gonna end up in the second band. xD
Unless I'm lucky enough to have my braces off by then. :]
Then maybe all the notes I play on my trumpet won't sound so airy D:

Our music program is amazing. So I guess it isn't that bad *I'm going to be busy with Color guard anyway... so the last thing I need is something else to destract me... heh*

im 4th chair in 4th band ( which is the last) but its my first year in high school so i hope thats not too bad crying

-_- They should have freshmen try outs for Marching Band! Half of ours can't keep in time with their feet and they've been in band for over a month and still haven't learned no matter how much we nag at them!
