NOT ACTUALLY A QUEST THREAD But plays one on TV
This all my fault. I claim full responsibility. Way back for the Halloween mystery flatsale, I wrote a response to a prompt with two mystery layhr. I had only the vaguest of ideas about them: one was male, one was female. They had a companionship going on. Sorta like a Mulder and Scully thing, before romance entered the picture. Oh, the male had a exceedingly flexible tail and the female had some sort of bony/leathery skin plating going on. They had no numbers and together, they fought crime! Well, maybe not that last bit.
It was supposed to be a one shot thing. The ideas didn't really grow on me, but they didn't really go away. They were waiting, lurking if you will, and once people were brainstorming about custom ideas in the main thread, the ideas pounced upon me once again.
Alright, enough melodrama. This isn't a quest thread, as I've already hit the limit for owning layhr (those two being XXVIII and XXXVIII) but Matt was kind enough to allow me to claim a thread for me to geek out over my ideas.
WE HAVE LIFT OFF.
ALSO: I heart feedback, so con-crit away plz.
ALSO, PART II: This whole thing is massively under constructions. Ideas are fickle fickle beasts.

Idea #1: The Scientist
[Numeral Preference] LXIX (69) or possibly LIX (59) [Gender] Male [Age] Adult [Base color] A dusky sort of greyish-black [Markings] haven't quite worked them out yet, but I'm thinking they're in shades of teal-green and blue [Mane] -TBA- [General Build] -TBA- [Mutations] - Long, prehensile tail (three pronged, main tailtip, with two protrusions like fingers possibly?) - Modified forepaws (altered sesmoid bone like in pandas? opposable dewclaw? polydactly?) allowing a very awkward sort of grip* [Personality] -TBA- [Background/History] Revenge is a dish best served cold. Or made up when you're bored. What's a borderline apathetic layhr to do? Study the insensitive bastards right back, that's what. So what if his concept of the scientific method is horribly skewed? Or that his theories are crackpot at best due to sorely lacking or just plan wrong information? He's at work in the field and effort on his part is almost nil. They come to him, dancing and cavorting, displaying all their intricate behavior, right there in front of him. The best part is his subjects don't even know it. They are being catalogued and analyzed and most of all judged.
At the very least, he's not quite so bored anymore. [Additional Info] Taught himself to read.
*just an interesting notion at this point, nothing concrete to the character
