The interior of the building is dimly-lit, most of the illumination coming from the stained-glass windows that cast pools of soft color across the floor. The building is cool within, made of stone, but the floor and walls are lined with carpetting to muffle sound. There are niches in the walls for teds to place flowers and other remembrances. Large pots of pure white lilies stand in each corner of the room, faintly perfuming the air. There is one chandelier lamp hanging above the center of the room to give reading light. Below it is a stone pedestal, and upon it lies a large tome with delicately-tooled leather bindings. This book contains the sad tales of teds of the League who have lost loved ones, especially children, who are very dear to teds. You may read these stories, or add to their number if you have one to tell. These are often tales of how teds became Monster Hunters, though not all choose that path. You may write your tale here, or if you have told it elsewhere already and are satisfied with that, you may provide a link to that other telling for your entry. I myself have done this. Post small pictures with your tale if you like. Visitors, you may post flowers at the tales unless the owner requests otherwise.

**Please do not converse in the Shrine at all. This is a place for silence. If you wish to discuss the tales you read here, please do so out in the gardens.

The year just passed has been a sorrowful one for my person as she has lost two dear friends. I come here to contemplate and hope that the year to come brings joy instead of loss.

Their tales were simple, I'm afraid, their monsters were the demons of Cancer and Pneumonia. One struck slowly, taking our good friend Elaine, mother and writer and genius. The other came quick and sharp, snatching Marion away the day after Christmas. I think of the novel Marion was writing and the thousands of tales she had to tell and I feel an ache in my heart... though her soul is sure to be travelling the stars by now. That was where she dreamed of afterall.

I hope one day that knowledge and hard work will defeat the monsters who took our friends. Until then, I lay flowers for the lost ones here in rememberance of their great lives.
