I was quite upset with the Death Note movie and was left completely disoriented with the ending in Death Note 2. The first movie, in my oppinion was far better than the second one, which totally changed the ending and left us going... "What happened to Near and Mello???"
Also.. why was Misa's hair blonde?
I feel that they should have kept with the original story and released 3 movies instead of 2. They edited far too much for many fans' liking which includes th addition of Light's "girlfriend" and the death of Naomi Misora.
anyone care to share their views?

I agree. I was quite disappointed with the movie. The first one was much better than the second. If you compare the manga to the movie, I'd pick the manga over it. It's not eited, duh, and the storyline is the same throughout. The movie just seems to throw random things into it.

I have yet to see the movie as I want to see the whole anime first. I saw an ad for the movie however, and it looked to me like they did an awesome job on Ryuk, but then again I only get to see him for a second or two in the ad.
