Global Warming
Is a bit of a misunderstanding and has little to do with pollution
Is a worldwide pollution problem's effect.
Is part of a cycle, due to Earth's slightly varying orbit. It sometimes gets closer and sometimes gets colder. Al Gore's movie was a tunk of rubbish.
Is affecting the animals and killing them and it's all our fault.
Is no concern of mine. I'm just voting for the gold.

Discuss and debate your views on Global Warming.

((EDIT: I guess we're debating the War in Iraq now...))

Death is the shared fate of all man...

I'd say pollution, and the earth's orbit both causing warming, and even if pollution isn't the problem, theres still problems with pollution, such as the O-zone layer, with had a MASSIVE hole above Australia... Also, pollution causes smog, which an KILL people with lung problems, and give other people lung problems........

Pollution has absolutely NOTHING to do with it based on my facts.

When we had that huge economic boom in the mid 1900's we were polluting a TUNK. You'd think the temperature would increase drasticly, right? WORNG! ((intentional mispelling)) The temperature dropped, and 'global cooling' was all the rage. And 'standing room only'. Which obviously didn't happen.

The temperatures go in cycles. We have warmer periods and cooler periods. The fact that we started warming up after the industrial revolution was merely a coincidence and they had no relationship to each other whatsoever. It was at the end of the mini ice age that the industrial revolution took place. And what happens after the end of a cold perod? It warms up a little.

We might have raised temperatures for a little while, but it will definately go down. Unless I blow up the earth first ;P

((If you're basing your 'facts' off of that "An Incomplete Truith" rubbish, most of that was complete bullshit. If Gore ACTUALLY cared about conserving energy, he wouldn't own TWO MANSIONS and GIANT OLYMPIC SIZED POOLS and crap. He's with a business that profits off of people who believe pollution causes global warming. And he gets paid big bucks for this bullshit. Those polar bears were just playing, their large ice burg was very close by. They go out and play on the little ice burgs all the time.))

It's cycles. If they had a REALLY STRONG SCIENTIFIC ARGUEMENT about global warming, then I'd believe it, but the science involved is just so messed it's impossible to believe.

And as recent as the 1970's they ice caps were GROWING and we were afraid that they would engulf the world.

Still, I do consider pollution a bad thing and it's true that we really need to cut down on that.

That doesn't make pollution good, but global warming, is happening, whether it's pollution, or just something with the sun. Pollution isn't good for the world, it still kills fish and other animals, and causes acid rain which kills plants, and destroys things... And stuff.... Also, recent study of the arctic ocean has shown plants and animals adapting to the changes, could this be a sign that it won't destroy or world, and we should all go kick Al Gore in the balls because he only ******** cares about money? And no, I've never even seen gay movie whatever "Truth" (LIES!), And pollution still makes holes in the O-zone layer, I think they proved that....

Uhm, yes. Pollution is terrible. And we should clearly be focusing on pollution and NOT how inevitable global warming is. I agree we need to cut down on gas emissions because that can't be good for anyone's lungs but we need to realize that the earth naturally warms and cools and we don't need to be AS freaked out as we are.

Just a second....

ya, what caused the ice ages when humans didn't cause pollution? (at that time period)

Cycles and whatnot.
But pollution = bad.
We got that down.
And global warming = no.
That too.

MAYBE (maybe) it's a Noah, and the ark and whatnot thing. But instead of the flood, we get searing heat...

Let me fix that...

Global warming = yes.
Global cooling = 70's
Reason = warming/cooling cycles
Polar bears = equilibrium

8O WE SHOULD GO BOTHER LANZER AND MAKE HIM BUILD A GIANT REFRIGERATOR FOR THE 'ENDANGERED' POLA BEARS!!! NO MORE GLOBAL WARMING CRISIS!!!!!!!

This one kid told me that carbon dioxide decreases and increases temperatures . . . But I don't get how. So he thinks that the world will warm up, then cool down SO MUCH that we get another ice age. All caused by carbon dioxide. WTF?! WHERE ARE THE REAL SCIENTISTS? WHAT ARE THEY DOING??? . . . . [What? A cure for cancer? A cure for the common cold? THAT'S where they all are?? ((NOT SUPPORTED BY FACTS, I'm just pokin fun))]
