Here you can find and post all the standard forms of art, such as paintings, drawings, CG art, collages, and so on. Basically, anything visual that you can put on a piece of paper/canvas/what have you, belongs here!
This Forum also involves things like sculpting, jewelry, photography, metal work, and so on. don't be shy, post your work here!!!!
Some Rules that need to be followed::
As you know, you must follow the ToS when posting anywhere on Gaia. This includes:
-no obscene nudity
-no extreme violence
-no sexual content
-no stealing artwork
and, the most important one to me,
NO FLAMING!
there is a difference between a flame and constructive criticism. If you are offering suggestions on a piece, such as:
Hmm, the proportions are a bit off. The left side of the body seems to be slumped at an odd angle. Also, why did you chose those specific colors? Is there a reason why you have their legs like that? Thanks!
as opposed to:
Wow, this sucks so bad. I can't believe you even posted that. You suck, loser, hahah!
if that's the only thing you can come up with to say about something, don't say it. Just move on to another piece to look at.
IMPORTANT: if you do not want criticism, please put that in the title of your thread. Otherwise, assume people will comment on it (negative and positive) also, if there are legitimate questions about your piece, answer them! Your public would like to know more info about you/the piece!!! smile

What to Put in the Commons Area!!
Your Artwork (duh!)- please lable if you want to criticism.
Common art contests- I'll allow them, but if I hear of a scamming so help me...
Artwork people should see- if you know of a piece that you think everyone in the world should see, put it here. Just please, PLEASE give the real artist credit for it. Links to websites with good art are also acceptable.
