~*Intro*~
We all see poems and prose out there about death and destruction. we've all probably written it at some point in our lives as well. This contest is asking you to go away from that and write either short prose or a poem that isn't depressing. It doesn't have to be happy and flowery, just not depressing.
~*Guidelines and Judging*~
1. Must be poetry or prose. I don't want any novels. For those of you who generally write lengthy pieces, this is a challenge to get your thoughts across quickly.
2. I'm looking for realism and feeling in my judging. I don't want to be reading some giddy cheesy poetry and prose all through the contest. Make your happiness real. Feel it when you write.
3. Creativity is key. I want to read twenty different and interesting ideas, not one idea with twenty different wordings.
4. Poetry may be in any form desired.
5. There is no entrance fee.
~*Timeframe*~
I'd like to have twenty people join this contest. That is probably an unrealistic idea as of now, so if you want to get the contest done, help spread the word to all the inactive guildmembers and your author friends who may want to join the guild.
~*Prizes*~
1st place ~ 1000 gold
I'd like to give second and third place prizes as well, but, I'm poor. So donate to my mule, Gabrielle9. All the gold he has received will go into the prize pot.
