I like the second one best, the one with the black and white tree in the middle of the pond. It's a shame that the lack of contrast with the background doesn't allow the tree to stand out more, though, and that the light doesn't let us see the ripples on the water surface more clearly. Symmetry would have worked beautifully in adding to the stability and solidity of the tree that conquers the water.
As for the others, I don't really like the one with the yellow flowers and the third, where the sun is shining behind the flower seems kind of plain. The last one has very nice colours - the red and blues go beautifully together - but the picture would have been better if the digital manipulation wasn't so obvious. The edge of the red filter is plain to see close to the grass on the left side.
Thank you for sharing! ^^

yah, i got sloppy with that last one, these were more experimental for me, playing with different color adjustments and methods of altering the colors. i wasnt nesisarily going for a smooth image so much as just seeing what could be done. i've done some more personal works since then that used the same techniques but were much smoother and more polished works.
as for the tree, that one i wish i could have done more with, unfortunately where that tree is there's buildings and parkinglots completely surrounding it. we'd had five days of pouring rain and everything was flooding, but the rain had let up to just sprinkleing for about an hour when i took that one, toward the end of the storm.
