But before we get started,
Here are a few guidelines and some information you need to know before placing a Want Ad:
What constitutes as a Want Ad?
A Want Ad is any advertisement that does not contain explicit material and is generally related to Gaia. Threads, Quests, Games, Lottos, Shops, Charities, and the like are all acceptable for an advertisement. Let it be known that it is not likely an outside link will be advertised, as we can not guarantee it will comply with Gaia's ToS. Also, singles ads will not be accepted. There was a reason the singles match up was shut down. We do not want a repeat.
What are the rules for a Want Ad?
A Want Ad-
1. Must comply with the Gaia and Pockyism Terms of Service.
2. Can contain no copyrighted material.
3. Can contain no explicit content.
4. Can contain no hateful content.
5. Can contain no illegal content.
6. Can be removed at any time without warning.
7. Can not be refunded.
8. Must have correct spelling, proper grammar, and has a 1000 word maximum.
9. Is subject to approval by Moderators.
How do I place a Want Ad?
This thread itself is locked. I myself will be responsible for the posting of these ads. Said ads must be sent to myself, via Private Message to a designated User Name. These ads must be appropriate, according to rules, and will not be accepted if not. These ads must be typed out in full and it is requested that you submit it in a Code Box. Do not expect me to type your ads for you. Have it prepared before you send it. Upgrades will be made as needed.
How do I pay for my Want Ad?
Once you have sent your Want Ad to the designated User Name, wait for an Ad Approval Notification E-mail from the User Name. This e-mail will confirm your ad, and give you a price. Next, come to the Guild Home Page. Locate at the bottom, the option to donate to the Guild. Enter the amount owed, your password, and donate. Once it has been confirmed that you have donated, your ad will be posted for all to see.
How much will a Want Ad cost?
An ad can cost anywhere from 5-10 gold. It is a small fee... We wanted to make this available and cheep enough for all members. However, prices are subject to rise, though you will not be required to pay the difference if you already purchased your ad at a lower price. Mods are NOT exempt from payment. Mods will NOT be accepting payments, and should under NO circumstances ask you for the gold directly. If this happens, report it to Koukon or myself imediately. Do NOT send your gold to a Mod because you will not get your ad here if you do.
Will there be changes to the Want Ad system?
Currently, we are just testing to see how well this actually goes over. If it does well, we may change policy. We might allow the ads to run only for a week on each payment. Maybe a monthly payment to keep it up for the next month. We may even limit spots so that the highest bidder wins the slot. Though these are possible... They are not likely in the immediate future. At this time, the ads will be permanently posted. We will keep you updated on any changes.
What is the Designated User Name?
This is the User Name where you will send your Want Ads to be approved. This is a simple Mule Account so send ONLY your Want Ads. Friend Requests, Trades, and other Private Messages will be ignored. Click 'No, I do not agree.' to continue. This will tell you the Designated User Name so that you may move on. Please check back from time to time for updates and have a Pocky filled day!
