For those of you still checking out this forum, I'd just like everyone to know that I'm planning on posting my explination for Prize Fighter Inferno. Ever since BlueDraconian posted the new music vid, I've started listening to it a lot and have formed a story out of it.
I'll be posting the explination song-by-song on a day-by-day basis so I can have time to look over everything and make sure there are no mistakes. I'll be adding info that Claudio has already given so as to keep it as accurate as possible.
Bleh! Sorry for the hold up, so here we go:
The Going Price for Home:
According to Claudio, the story of PFI is narrated by Jesse, the brother of Coheed & Cambria. Since he is an IRO-bot, he can be rebuilt and brought back to life. I think the first track is Jesse somehow being ressurected and then trying to make his way back home, somewhat unaware of the events of the second Good Apollo album.
Since there are some rumors that the Co&Ca story is narrated by a young child (the explination for why Claudio's voice is so high in a lot of the songs) I'd think that Jesse is telling the story to this child, who will eventually narrate the Coheed story.
The Fight of Moses Early & Sir Arthur McCloud:
This is where the story officially picks up. It starts off with Arthur McCloud, a respected citizen of the small village of Margretville, coming to a neighbor's house to settle some sort of dispute; most likely to tell Moses' son, Johnny, to stop dating his daughter, Cicillia.
I also believe that Moses is suffering from some manner of illness and will soon pass away. He has accepted this fact and is ready to die.
Our Darling Daughter You Are, Little Cicillia Marie:
Now for the darker stuff.
Now we are introduced to our protagonist, Cicillia Marie McCloud. The daughter of Martha McCloud, who married Arthur McCloud as a widow, and the sister of two nameless, mute twin brothers. Being part of the most prestigious family in Margretville must be pretty nice, right? Well, it would be if her father weren't molesting her (this has been confirmed by Claudio). Aparently not pleased with her situation, she has made a few attempts at killing Arthur. One was trying to kill him by kitchen knife, but she couldn't bring herself to do so. She's also thought of trying to get someone else to kill him for her, but could never do that either.
One day after being raped, yet again, by her step father; Cicillia recalls how she used to enjoy having Arthur as a father. But as time went on, life became worse. She tried convincing her mother to divorce Arthur, but she never could.
After the flashback, Cicillia listens to Arthur singing in the shower. She Somehow manages to get her hands on a gun and shoots Arthur to death. She decides to take her brothers and run away with her boyfriend, Johnny. She knows that Johnny is in town at a dance. So after quickly gathering her things she takes her brothers to town through a shortcut in the woods. Unknown to her there is a small lantern shining, most likely belonging to someone who saw the whole thing.
That's all for now. Feel free to leave comments. I'll try t keep up with this and eventually cover the whole album.
