Hey kittens.....I've been gone for so long, I hope you guys remember me. I'm sorry for the absence. Things have been a bit hectic in my personal life. I'll give you a brief summary.
About two months ago I started taking a medication called topamax for my migraines. It's pretty seriously hardcore and it's caused me to make some major readjustments in my life. One of the funkier side-effects of the drug is that I've been writing like a madwoman. I've already written one short story and I'm starting 3 more. I've always been ab le to write poetry and book reviews but I had never written fiction until now so I've been writing furiously. Most of my time the last two months has been spent reading, writing, and researching literary journals so I can start submitting my work. I'm keeping a diary again and I'm also writing more poetry. Due to the fact that I'm trying to get my work published I won't be posting any of it online until that time. After that I'll put it up on my website. I'm still writing reviews weekly for Book Fetish however so you can always find me there as well.
What does this mean for the guild? Well, I'm not really able to log onto Gaia from work anymore because I got caught surfing on a book site of all things so I'm trying to be careful right now. I pretty much content myself with writing bits of things in Google Docs when I need a break from work. I will try to log on here at least once a week to check up on things and I'm going to pm a few of the long-time guild members to see if they would like to be mods. Please DO NOT pm me and ask if you can be a mod. I won't like it and I may have to kill you (the new med causes a decrease in BookWhore's patience). We have two mods already, Sapphina and Akuma_Okami but they have their own guilds to deal with so it would be better to spread things out among a few others.
What I don't want to see is the end of the guild. It seems for the most part that you guys are trucking along pretty well without me and that's good. I just want to make sure you're taken care if there's a problem. I'm not gonna let my guys down (not too much anyway)!!
