This subject in no way reflects my personal belief on this matter.
As we all know Homosexuals are looking for the right to Same sex marriage in all of America. As I was speaking to a coulple of our fellow Gaians (whose names I will not mention) they brought up this interesting fact. "If homosexuals are allowed to marry, what is next". What they ment by this is that after they get their right to marry will they try to impose on other aspects of our society such as children shows, out door festivities, governement etc. I will not say wether or not I have a problem with them marrying one another, because I am not here to disscuss my opinion but to find out your take on this matter. These gaians did have some what of a point. Once they get the first thing that they want what's to say they wont go for more.
I know this example is quite cheesy but they mentioned that "Spongebob square pants" was based on homosexuality, if you watch the show you will get a few hints on that. The creators of "Sponge Bob Square Pants" are Homosexuals and the voice of the character Spongebob is a Homosexual as well. Where I'm going with this is just to say that they've gotten a few things already that get to the minds of our younger peers, so what if they were to get more?
Discuss-What do you think will happen after homosexuals get the right to marry and advance further in our nation, as their presence becomes more prominent in other aspects of our society will heterosexuals whom are against gays make a bigger s**t about it than they did with the right to marry.

I noticed that many of you have been saying"Who cares if two men in like a state half way across america get married it wont effect me I don't know them." that's what you say now, but will you feel the same once they are right next door to you? When everytime you pass a church it's a gay marriage cerimony? When your whole community is filled with homosexuals and you are getting hit on by people you aren't interested in just because they are homosexual and they "like you".
Many don't seem to realize how many homosexuals there are in the world. 1-100-1,000-10,000-1,000,000 s**t adds up. No i'm not saying that the homosexual population will more then double, but i'm more contradicting the unlikely hood that if there are no homosexuals near you that that will remain the same. You may not think there aren't any near you, but soon there may be. Will you still feel the same? think about that.

"what rights will they be asking for next?" WTF kind of question is that? EVERYONE has the right to basic human rights. They should have all the same rights as every other person. PERIOD. Who they ******** is not any one else's business. it doesn't affect what they do in society. They still work, buy groceries, have parties with friends, and contribute to their communtiy just like you so called "NORMAL" people. One of my best friends is gay. I know I went a little overboard...but it is topics like that that bother me. Normally I wouldn't even bother...but you know these right wing conservative christians run a LOT in the White house. Like president Bush. He thwarted the whole seperation of church and state by adding into his campaign to try and get rid of gays. He gave many speeches and lectures about why it's wrong and those people are going to the christian hell. WTF?! Why isn't he worring more about something like terrorism or stopping the war overseas...or even our BUDGIT which is billions of dollars in debt.
Anyways I am not proud of how angry I got but I wonder if other wiccans feel the way I do?
