The home of the Mitsude clan, built more than eighty years prior on an oasis, which remains to this day. Because of the clan's shrinking numbers, much of the once-grand property has fallen into disrepair and been reclaimed by the desert. However, the main building, library, and a small portion of the grounds remain under the watchful eye of Mitsude Yamanaki. The grounds are kept open to the public at all times, but only someone with a key or the Mitsude bloodline can enter the actual house.


The library is among the most extensive databases in the world, containing thousands upon thousands of scrolls on every imaginable subject; only the kages and perhaps the Akatsuki have more data at their disposal.
In addition to the library, there are three bedrooms (Yamanaki's, Karu's, and a guest room), a kitchen, some bathrooms, and a living area/dining room. All in all, it's fairly obvious that from the moment you walk in, a very wealthy family lives here.

Karu turned to the red-haired man. "A sword, and some scrolls, only. You're welcome to come inside, or wait here, whichever you prefer. I won't be long."
He walked up to the door of the house, entering the library. First stop was the section containing the clan jutsus, which were carefully laid into a bag.
He walked to the far end of the library, where in a glass case lay an old longsword.
Your father said you would receive it once you were a Chuunin... Yamanaki's voice echoed inside his head. "Well, I won't become a Chuunin per se, but something far greater." With a thought, the glass was shattered, and the sword was pulled from its case. "Ryukiba, the Dragon's Fang... Nowhere near the power of Eisei, but a sword is a sword, and I will have to come back for that once I am strong enough to break the seal."
He strapped the sheath to his waist, before walking back out to Baku, items in hand. "I am ready to begin my training."

Karu shook his head. "People born to my clan don't have elemental chakra, or internal chakra lines for that matter. The Ley Lines are the only way to properly focus our chakra. As a result, we cannot use Ninjutsu or Genjutsu. The power of the Ley Lines is among the most powerful bloodlines in the world, but it comes at a terrible price."

"Karu, show me the scrolls you have."

The 5 eagles landed, looking over at Baku. One walked over to him and presented Baku with a note.

Baku took the note and opened it, the note read: "Baku, we've lost another. This time it was Shisen who fell to 'Kurosuna no Kankurou.' It appears Takumi went after him but she has yet to report in, I'm afraid she may of been captured or slain. I ask you to return to the Cave to discuss these matters with the remaining group members. I will propose that new teams be made up to capture Ichibi seeing as Etsuko's partner is no longer with us."

Baku narrowed his eyes some, folding the note and putting it away in his cloak. He then looked over at Karu. "Tell me, are you able to pick up the Ley Lines and bend them to your will?"

"Fascinating," Karu whispered. "Yes, I can sense the Ley Lines and do as I please with them; that is the basis of telekinesis. The more advanced jutsus require more advanced Chakra control than I currently posess."
