For a while I shared a "soul-splice" (for lack of a better word) with my girlfriend. We both felt and thought what the other thought even though we were more than 700 miles away from each other. I also met someone with a much stronger connection than we had and he could see, exactly, what the other person was doing and his surroundings whenever he closed his eyes. I tested this and it was true. I had them both on separate messaging systems and neither of them knew the other was on, so they weren't communicating.


My question for all of you is: Have you ever had or heard of this happening?

I know it as a psychic link. It happens when two people connect often. It can be done deliberately by exchanging energy with one another or simply occurs naturally by prolonged contact and getting to know the person.

Similar to how two twins in different locations sometimes know when the other is hurt, etc.

Might I suggest Astral Projection as the answer? It can occur when one's mind reaches a state of deep meditation and can project the mind's eye wherever they wish or think of going, such as if you are thinking of your girlfriend while subconsciously falling into this little mode. Though this is just one of many other possiblity of what has occured. Its difficult to tell since such science on psychics and other paranormal activities are looked down upon because of the inconstancy in data in a controlled environment. So what you guys share could be anything.

Well, since no one's done so as of yet, I thought I'd go ahead and Scully this.

Why does it need to be astral projection? Why does it need to be anything "paranormal"? You spend a lot of time with this person, you know them incredibly well - doesn't it follow that you'd generally have a pretty good idea what's up with them? I can tell you that right now, most of my friends are sleeping, except perhaps Morgan, who I would guess is lying awake staring at the glow stars on her ceiling right now. I'm probably right. Does this imply a physic link? Probably not. My last boyfriend, I could probably have guessed and been right on a fairly consistent basis what he was doing at any given time, just because he does essentially the same things, most of the time.

You know enough about each other to generally be able to tell what the other is up to. Couple that with the intense emotional bond you share, and it can feel kind of like you're psychically linked.

Anyways, that's my two cents, I guess.

I do something a little similar. I dream my future sometimes. The difference being you see someone close to you in the present, while I see myself in the future. I accept paranormal as possible, and that many things are unexplainable at this point in time, so here's my belief:

When we are dreaming, we are loose from conscious thought, and this allows our mind to wander in directions impossible in the waking moment. The future, the faraway present, things we could not know within nature's bounds, and yet we know.

To quote Abraham Van Helsing loosely (I can't remember the exact quote); "There are many things we cannot explain, and yet are true."

I never experienced it personally.

But I do believe that humans possess a sixth sense that is sensitive towards things that are paranormal or spiritual and it unlocks itself in certain circumstances. I also believe if you know someone long enough, you can just sense those things.

Kind of like how parents know when their kids are lying or in danger. sweatdrop
