I've decided to start making pages like this one shorter. I will be leaving off some information, but I will retain all important info.
Ok, I'm sure everyone in this guild has at least heard of the hard rock band Disturbed. If you haven't, then you obviously don't get out much.
Disturbed formed in 1996 when Dan Donegan, Steve "Fuzz" Kmak and Mike Wengren hired singer David Draiman (Supposedly through an ad in the local newspaper). For the first few years, they worked on demo tapes to send out to record companies and to hand out at rock concerts to help gain notoriety. In 1999, they hit it big with their first single: "Stupify" which would be later featured on Disturbed's multi-platinum debut album
The Sickness and signed to Giant Records.
A year later in 2001, Disturbed headlined Ozzfest along side bands such as Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Papa Roach, Linkin Park and Black Label Society which further increased their popularity. Also in 2001, Disturbed created the "Music As A Weapon" tour. The following year, they released their second album:
Believe which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Charts.
In 2003, they headlined Ozzfest once more. 2003 also saw the departure of Fuzz who was replaced with Matt Konopinski and later John Moyer. In 2005, the band released their latest album:
Ten Thousand Fists. Like their previous album,
Ten Thousand Fists debuted at #1 on the Billboard Charts. On this album, Disturbed preformed a cover of Genesis' "Land Of Confusion" (Which has been made into a music video produced by Todd McFarlane). An interesting thing to note is that "Land Of Confusion" is the only single by Disturbed to ever hit the #1 spot on the Billboard charts.
Disturbed preformed on the 2006 Ozzfest tour and is currently in studio working on their next album. Due date and title are still unknown.
