A few bounds away from the oasis, the land turned into desert again, with tall, dry savanna grasses and the bright sun beating down menacingly. The savanna is home to many a creature, most of which are rather... tasty for the lion...
Prey Update
What's this? A large gazelle herd has stopped in the Hunting Grounds for sleep and food. Foolish things...

Young Lioness Ellidanio prowled about, relishing in the strength of her new form...It seemed ages since she capered with her young companions, since then she had begun hunting large prey on her own, and had become very good at catching it...

Knuckles crouched low in the long, dray grass, he was surprised that the gazelle hadn't noticed him yet since his fur was bright red. Without wasting another second he jumped out from the long grass and sped towards the gazelles, giving away his hiding place but he was already really close to them as they began speeding away.

Elli paused in her prowling about, watching the red male lion race toward the gazelle herd. She cocked her head and watched parts of the herd scatter in their effort to escape the hungry lion.

As Knuckles got close enough to the gazelles he pounced on one infront on him, instantly making it fall to the ground from the force of his pounce, he quickly bit into its neck, finishing it off.

"I should test my new body, right?" he asks himself as he looks at the red lion. "Have I seen he before?" he said and stares at him. "Hmmm...." he looks at the gazelles running toward him. "I guess there dumber then they look." he said and crouches down. When they get close enough he roars loudly. Scaring them off back in the direction of the red lion. "Time to have some fun." he said and grins. He runs off after them fastly. Hints his name sonic. When he gets close enough to one he jumps on its back and sinks his claws in. The gazelle falls down. Sonic gets off and walks away. The gazelle gets up and runs away. "Why waste food? Some one else can kill that one easyly since I weaken it." he lays down under a tree, watching the herd run off.
Sonic yawns then looks at the red lion. "I think I do know him from somewhere, I think. Hmmm..." he gets up and walks to him. "Hello." he said with a smile. He saw that he was about the same age as his self.

Knuckles was busy eating his gazelle meat when a loud roar echoed through the lands, scaring the gazelles off into his direction and crouched as they jump over him. He had enough food for today so he stood up and saw the blue lion, remembering him from a long time ago, "Hello. . .".

"Sorry about that. I did not mean for the gazelle to come at you like that. I just wanted to have some fun and all." he said and looks off in the direction the gazelle ran. "Anyways, my name is Sonic." he said with a little smile.

Knuckles nodded, "Its okey. .. I would habe pounced on them if I didn't already have my prey" he said and then added his name, "I'm Knuckles by the way" he said.

"Nice to meet you too. . ." asnwered Knuckles and sat down, since he just ate. "Me too. . . but its better for hunting that way, since its had for diffrent lions to hunt at the same time" he said.

"I guess your right." he said and looks at the eaten gazelle. "But to me it would not be hard. I'm like the fastest runer. So I can get my food fast, but I usely like to play with it." he said with a small smile. 'Why did I tell him that? I never told anyone that. Well who cares whats done is done.' he thought and stood up and looks in the direction the gazelles went. "Well I'm going to have some fun. It was nice to meet you, Knuckles." he said and ran off. "Well bye."

"I don't have time to playing with my food, since I'm not as fast as other lions I have to catch a gazelle as quickly as I can before It ban see my red fur" he said and then watched Sonic race off, "bye. . ." he said, thinking to himself, he is fast! and ran off after Sonic, although nothing compaired to tthe speed Sonic went.

"I guess your right." he said and picks up his paste. Sonic's normal runing was really fast. He never thought how he was the fastest lion even when he was not even trying to run. When he picked up his paste he left Knuckles far behind him. "How far are those gazelles?" he said as he comes to a stop, slideing on the sand. "Hot!" he said jumping around. "Where did Knuckles go?"

Knuckled tried to catch up but sonic was too fast and sort off zoomed away and Knuckles lay down on the dry grass, patting, hard, trying to get his breath back from the run.
