Since we are the cooking guild I thought we should have a Ratatouille
thread! So who is going to see Pixar's new movie? I can't wait! Pixar and
good eats! It doesn't get better than that!

(PS -- I heart the kitchen in this movie...so pretty... 3nodding And I'm
seriously hoping for a cookbook to go along with this. That would be
truely sweet.)

Also, any other films with good food you guys want to mention while we're at
it? smile

are you saying like a mini cookbook with a dvd release or something? that would be more than awesome.

That'd be interesting too. 3nodding Or there could be a bonus feature on
the DVD showing how to cook a few recipies.

They've already got a great podcast on i-Tunes about how they spent
some time taking a few cooking classes to learn some things for the
movie.

June 29th cannot come soon enough! whee 3nodding heart

Learning to cook for a specific movie... now THAT would be interesting!

OMG! The release date is actually JUNE 29th! It's out today! Thankfully, I
figured that out in time to get tickets smile (How did I miss that when I have an
official desktop wallpaper that had the release date on it?!)

Argh! scream gonk xd rofl Anyway, I'm going to see it this
afternoon! Hope the theater isn't too crowded! sweatdrop 3nodding

Now I've seen it! 3nodding heart

So very awesome! Definitely a good movie for showing cooking from the
perspective of chefs who know their stuff (and why they have such a
passion for food). Plus, it's Pixar, and they deliver both 'teh funneh'
and quality animation smile .

(Also, stay during the credits smile Cute animations abound! Kinda like the
stylized credits in The Incredibles...).

I love that movie. I would love to live in Paris and be a chef there or if im not a chef own a catering business or own a pastry shop.

I've always secretly wanted to own a pastry shop myself...Yum! smile

I've passed a seriously hard test and I think I will reward myself by
seeing this again! Whee! heart xd 3nodding

Oooh! BTW, I've finally made that soup Remy makes in the movie. It's not
what I'm used to but wow...lots of interesting flavors smile . It's totally made
to be winter comfort food. Definitely something to make when it's cold out
(very tasty and good for you too considering the veggies...).
