Occupation: Ningyou makes porcelain dolls for a living. It's a trade she's been taught since she was small, and she's quite talented.
Personality: Ningyou is one of those scarily smart people. She's very quiet, and far more patient than many of her Crow brethren...but she can be just as violent and just as cruel. She likes tearing apart the psyches of other people, especially any Sarus or others of the Light races. To her, it's as beautiful as watching a porcelain doll break. She speaks little, and when she does speak, it is slow and thoughtful, and she often makes one feel insulted in some way. Ningyou, despite her dislike of the other races and other people, can acknowledge when someone or something is beautiful. Just because she doesn't like them, doesn't mean she can't appreciate their outside. She uses them as inspiration for her dolls. And speaking of dolls...she's rarely found without her Crow porcelain doll; a small, delicate creation that looks like a little Crow boy with a strange innocence to it. She can sometimes be found talking to the doll in a soft, soothing voice, as if it were someone dear to her...and it seems to answer in her mind since she seems to hold a conversation with it! Something's a little loose up in her head...
Abilities: Ningyou is quite the schemer and thinker. She's also very good with delicate tasks that require patience, and has learned to compensate for her half-blindness with a careful, sweeping stride, relying on sound more than sight, and use of her raven form. As such, she's hard to sneak up on and is adept at changing forms.
History: Ningyou was born to a family of doll-makers, it's even what her name means. After all, she looked so doll-like from day one. At first it was the cuteness as a child that hid a mind like a steel trap and an insanity that started small...but grew as she did. At first it was just a glimpse of strange things that weren't there. Then voices on the wind, and then she was talking to things that weren't there by the time she was 10. That was also when her mother had reached the end of her rope. She went after her daughter, and ended up blinding her in the girl's left eye. It didn't faze the girl, despite the pain. She just stared at her mother with her good eye, no emotion in it.
After that, her mother never talked to her and avoided her. She was sent to live in another part of the forest with her grandmother, a tough old Crow who recognized Ningyou's talents, both in making dolls and in harming others, and refined both. Now, Ningyou is reaching maturity, and is making her own mark in Crow arts with her dolls, and is certainly an oddity with her quiet methods of harming the soul rather than the body and her one-sided talks with the doll...

Raelen Celain - Ningyou's mother. The two haven't seen one another or spoken for a good six years, and each prefers it that way. She's a Crow with a hot temper and a creative mind. Unlike her daughter, she has problems seeing past her hatred of the other races to see the beauty that can be made into dolls.
Kurai Celain - Ningyou's father. The two have run into each other a few times since Ningyou left his home, and they've been friendly enough...though usually Kurai walks away feeling a bit outmatched. His daughter is far more intelligent than him. He took his wife's last name, rather than his own.
Lenorae Celain - Ningyou's Grandmother. A tough old Crow who can hold her own against Ningyou's biting insanity. She tolerates the girl's talking to her doll, only because of her talents. But the moment Ningyou tries to turn those talents on her, she gets cuffed and goes without the next two meals.
'Daniel' - The name Ningyou calls the doll she carries with her. She treats 'him' as if 'he' were the most precious thing in the world to her.
