Just a poem I warped together for my story. Don't take it literally though, this isn't what's going to happen in it. ninja
I came by chance into this world
Where war is waging
Getting closer and closer
And every day I fear that I will
Cause something to happen
That will shatter the peace
I don't want anything to change
I like it just the way it is
Because everything is beautiful
Oh, no! The queen's coming
What will I say?
Did I do something wrong?
...
It now seems like eternity
Since I left the village
And everything is different
I see beauty in a new light
And feel pain I never imagined
But I've been given a mission
She told me to go out into the wild
Into lands never yet traveled
To do an important task
I obliged, for I could not refuse
She was the queen
Of the place I have come to love
But now, here I am
Writing out in my own blood
My comrades' bodies all around me
A message that will someday fade
My people never seeing
My lonesome death nor this message
That I am trying to tell them
The most important lesson I've learned
While spending the years away:
That my task is complete
At the cost of death
Of my friends and of myself
I long for them to know
That they are safe forever
That the evil threat is dead
And yet, no one will see
A lost young girl, cradling her body
That is broken and dying
Alone, with no one left beside her
Writing out one last message
To the people she loves so much...

LoL. I don't know WHAT got into me, but I was suddenly overcome with the urge to write in my FFCC story. I wrote 1 and 1/2 chapters! (About 12 pages, TNR, size NINE!!) mrgreen
I'm working on Chapter 11 right now.

Roses are Red
Violets are blue
Heartland Crossing is dull
