So I know there is a introduction forum and I have posted there already but I would love to get to know my guild mates a little better and what better way then striking up a conversation eh?

Now close your eyes and imagine that we are in your all all time favorite coffee / smoothie / what ever floats your boat shop! *HEY YOU, yeahhhh I see you peeking shut those eyes, oh erm, wait no don't do that then how could you read my adoring words? Okay well maybe more like rambling silliness but eh theres to dreaming.*

I am Tara, I will be 28 in September I am a VERY proud mother of three beautiful amazing little ones. Proud wife to Brad whom I shamelessly promote anywhere I can because he is truly a talented musician! My children are Austin 10, Rylan 5 and Sandra 3.

Formalities out of the way now, but please if you would like to know more do not be afraid to ask I am about as open as they come not affraid to share.

I use to be on these very DULL forums for mom's..long story.. but came across a pretty neat game in my posting time there maybe you would be interested?

The Point - To learn more about others in a non-invasive manner

How To Play - I will post something along these lines: The person below me loves to eat chocolate ice cream. The next person posts rather they do or don't and continues on with the questioning in stating : The person below me....you catch my drift here

There really are no rules, its all about fun and the statements should be fun but also allow you to learn something new about the person. I have seen these get extremely funny and crazy and some that never really took off from the ground. So I suppose the only rules would be to follow the site and guilds TOS, and to make sure you are respectful of the other users.

If your not interested in playing you could always just stay for a chat smile of course that would mean you have to tolerate my silliness!

The person below me will either start with asking a question or tell me eh your games silly but eh we can chat :p

I was just feeling extremely silly earlier and wondering who most of the members names were :p

That and the ED was looking a little rough there for awhile.

blaugh This is definetely off the topic.
But i'm glad someone has finally decided to be more casual rather than sticking to the usual mannersim of the guild.

xd Although I've been trying to get some fun activities together so it wont just be intelligent debate and discussion. Since it will also help with participation and we'll have many diverse activities.

I was wondering if either of you have any more ideas.
And if you wouldn't mind helping out with them.

I think seeing a active guild full of people would rock! My own personal theory of why we have guilds is kind of like a place to escape. A place to come when you just want to kind of fade away from the forums and chat or debate with people that you have things in common with but can also do it intelligently *the debate part*. Its fun to be light hearted every now and then and I would be glad to help out in anyway that I can, I read Solvents post and I think that those are some great ideas to start with, another thing could be actually asking what interest our guild mates have outside of debating, or philosophical chat :p In other words post a thread that encourages them to post things they would like to see for "fun" around here, or what they like to do for fun and what they would be interested in partaking in. I have been on a lot of forums and people do tend to get burned out with the same old day in and day out, for example the mom's board I was on. We quite frankly got tired of talking about child rearing and changing diapers. So there are a lot of games specifically for forums that have come about from the silly and crazy to the just causal conversations in getting to know each other outside of what our main common interests are that brought us here.

Honestly, never once have I role played redface I am not sure where I would start lol!!! But I think that you have a base for wonderful ideas that truly would spark interest and make the guild a little more active then it is now. I have seen amazing talent in art around the site, I bet someone around here would be more than honored *American spelling :p* to fill the role for a comic specially if they were able to receive feedback on it from us. Pats on the back go a long way and boosting the ol' ego ! Freelance writing or heck even designating a topic and having people write about it rather there are guidelines are not are a definite source of relief for a lot of people. I love to write, now often I find that its more rambling lol, but it is a source of stress relief for me. Something I can do and just let go in. Maybe even offer prizes or hold contest that might be an idea as well. I would be more than happy to contribute item / gold wise to something like that if the idea got off the ground.

You truly have a open and clean slate to start with. Right now as you look around the guild everything is more on a serious side with many intelligent debates going on rather they involve personal opinion or are indeed fact based. It will be through trial and error and maybe a little research into your members to find things that really click with this group as a whole and keeps them actively involved and looking forward to checking the guild everyday.

blaugh This just occured to me.

Now we can have uh a begining contest or something like that so we can build up the gold and items for future contests where you can earn better items.

So there can be donations and entry fees.

And then the type of contest we can have would probably be stuff like:

Avi arena
Story contest
Poetry contest
Artist Contest
Banner contest

Alot of stuff like that and if we get enough volunteers and all that we can probably hold a few of these mentioned contest weekly.

Well if you do want to throw some donations to the guild for events if we really do get them started youll have to probably give it to me or the vice cap.

Because the gold you donated is towards the actual guild till.
So that guild would be spent on the guild itself such as sub forums etc.
