Just interested in what telescopes people own I own a small cheap refracter and a 1/2k 4in reflecter? I'm thinking about upgrading. What do you own and what sort do you think is the best?

I currently own an 8-inch newton/dobson telescope and have had it for couple years. it was within my budget at the time I purchased. no electronics either, have to find my stars the old fashion way. have been thinking about purchasing an additional smaller telescope, an 80mm-100mm refractor perhaps, for portability.
not sure about a "best" telescope, although my pre-purchase research led me to believe that a newton/dobson would afford me more telescope for the price. I think this also revolves around what you plan on doing, for me it was start/planet/moon gazing, not astrophotography.
