Ok, so I want to try out this game to see how well it works. If it works well then I'll probably make it into a game in the Gaia Lottos/Money Games forum. Otherwise I might try tweaking it a bit.
So here's how it works: First, to enter you need to send me 100g. It would be best if you named the trade something that would help me know that you want to enter, but considering I doubt I'll be getting a random trade of 100g you don't really have to. This gold will then be thrown in the 'pot'. You then roll a single 6-sided dice. If you roll a 6 you will get an amount of gold equal to the current number of players added to your current prize. If you roll a 1, however, then you will add gold equal to the current number of players to the pot. This gold will be taken from your current prize amount, but if you do not have enough gold in your prize to pay that much your prize will go into the negatives and you will be expected to pay it when the contest ends.
Now then, how do we end this contest? Simple. If you roll a 6 you may choose to claim your current prize. This will end the contest and all prizes will be awarded to the players, as will any gold be paid if you owe gold. In this case I keep any gold that remains in the pot. The contest will also end if the pot is reduced to 0 gold.
To help this little contest move quicker, I will also be entering. I will be adding 100 gold to the pot to start, and will be able to win gold from the pot (and required to add to it) just like everybody else. I will not, however, be able to end the contest when I roll a 6 unless that empties the pot.
**UPDATE**
Ok, so I've decided that 1g per person is too slow. The pot isn't moving at all. As such the give/take value is now 5g per person. That should help things move a little quicker.
