Ok, when you first start in magic you will need a irutal circle to guard your stuff while enchanting it. Otherwise you will get pesky spirits bothering it, or altering it. So basically until you get more powerful, simply set up a scared/holy area that they will not be able to get into. Then do all your work in there until you feel you're ready for the big time. Simple as that. Now, there are several different methods for casting a circle. some people use a little incantiation for a circle casting or perform precise rituals in a circle. however I feel if you have the intent to make the area your own it will work just fine.
Method 1.
Simply envision a circle around yourself. A bubble surrounding you. This method is best set up in meditation. for more infomration on meditation simply refer to the meditation thread in this forum made by yours truly.
Method 2.
Use rocks or feathers or everyday things from nature and form them in a circle around you.
Method 3.
Use candles to form a circle around you. This method is sometimes used with more advanced magic.
Method 4.
Find yourself a symbol of power important to you then put a circle around it. Sit in the middle of that circle.
Method 5.
Find yourself a circular rug. One big enough for you to sit in the middle of it.
Now, as for what you do in the circle. That's up to you. Setting up a ritual space is simple. It's what you do in that space that really has to count.

What movie did you steal this one from? Has anything ever happened to you because of your techniques? I seriously doubt it! I noticed that you never actually have any conclusions or results for your techniques. You just say what you have to do to "enchant" your belongings on this one. Never actually said that it does anything or has done anything to you or for you. Read the Carlos Casteneda books, then maybe you'll learn something that can actually be useful to the people your preaching to. I learned a lot of techniques from those books but not a lot of my knowledge. That's something I got from meditation (the real kind). And I've got results.

I noticed that you never actually have any conclusions or results for your techniques. You just say what you have to do to "enchant" your belongings on this one. Never actually said that it does anything or has done anything to you or for you. Of course it's useless to you. It's useless to everyone if it doesn't work. There's right way or a wrong way to do things. You tend to be doing to doing the absolute opposite way of which you're supposed to. I don't care if I make an "Enemy" or even get kicked out, It should be crime to give people such bad advice. So, instead of this boring conversation why don't you just tell me where you got that info, so I can go there and bite their heads off instead? And by the way, people who get offended by other peoples words and actions (you) are unable to own the energy able to do the things you supposedly do. maybe that's another reason none of your "techniques" work.

It's a little late to add my two cents, I know, but still...
It occurs to me that in matters involving the super natural, the things that we believe work tend to do so. How can you say there's a right or wrong way to do things in a situation like this one when so much of it is personal and individual? To say that someone has to follow these rules to get these results is like turning the super natural into a science, and I do believe that to be far above the heads of anyone hear right now (myself included). But, on the other hand, to turn down someones advice or suggestions merely because they don't agree with your own is just, well, self important and narcisistic. It would be be more acurate to say that SOME people like to use circles as a technique becaues that's what works for them and if you'd like to try THESE are some methods you can use.
But come on, it's not like she's the satanic dictator from hell, she was just adding information to the library. Just because something is main stream or pop culture or what have youm doesn't mean it's flase or even pointless.

No? well, the symbolism to the circle is that it keeps on going, so it just makes a great shape to use when casting or projecting something, you are absolutely right though, there are several methods, and with something so basic there really is no right or wrong way as long as it gets the job done. symbolism just helps to keep you and your intent focused, and as far as casting, projecting and growing in strength goes, well really anything can be symbollically linked to a circle because it just keeps going. Which is why usually you hear about circles being used for magic holy areas. just ignore the secareze guy, he got banned a longggg time agoe for trying to disprove everyone and acting like he was god sent to correct everyone, he is still banned as far as my knowledge goes, so he won't be replying.
