Ok, imagine a being made completely of shadow energy. It can be everywhere and nowhere at once. This is your shadow. An entitiy that is another part of you. The shadow self is all of your unwanted or ignored feelings and desires manifesting itself as a conscious entity. And your shadow wants to be healed. Basically to heal the shadow is simply a matter of facing yourself and what you don't like or care to face aobut yourself. He is everything you are afraid of, everything you hate, everything you don't want to admit that you love.
Now, there are several ways to heal the shadow to make it go away.
1. Some people like to place a healing spell on a simple stone then freeze the stone in the freezer for a week or two. Supposedly this is supposed to keep your shadow attached to the stone.
2. Meditate the unwanted feeling and visualize setting it loose from your body. Usually works best if you have a spirit willing to help you by taking the energy to deal with.
3. Come out of the ******** closet and get in touch with your inner b***h, gay, fighter or whatever it is you hide from yourself. Be who you are.
4. Meet your shadow in deep meditation and start discussing terms.
5. Envisualize healing energy shooting at the shadow.
6. Sort through the issues inside of your head.
There are several ways to deal with your shadow. There is no real right or wrong way though I recommend meditational release personally. Again, find what works for you.

What, exactly, happens to this shadow if you let it be? What does it do to people? How does it manifest itself? Does it interfere? Is it dangerous or benevolent? Is it like a construct? Should we care how it feels?

You can also manifest this "Shadow" of yourself in a force. Never let it control you. Always control it. Nothing can control you as long as you know it can't.

So, to answer a qeustion about the shadow you have to ask yourself.

the shadow self is something very real and since it can really be any definition it can get confusing for people.

It seems like the shadow self will also go through mood swings, as we all do. You're shadow can have a bad day but things can work out for the best if you can be as forgiving to it as you would want it to be to you. Am I right? So, the shadow self is like a mixture of the Super Ego and the Id, right? The primal and the subconsious, all with a consious of its own. But, unlike the Id or the Superego, I don't think your shadow self can really take control of you, no? It seems more internal in the way it manifests itself rather than external.

The thing about the shadow is that it can become external if you let it. Remember what happend to me at school and your place? I'm pretty sure I let my shadow out those times. To me it is about will. If you have the will it wont be let out. If you don't it will be let out, like in my case. But then again, that only could have been me being stupid >.<
