Arrangement of Avatar Stories
1. Solvent Solution:
Living Marionette
Hollow eyes gaze steadily at an open leather bound book. Dark hair cascaded around its glassy skin as its head faces towards the contents of the untitled book. Dressed in a dark tuxedo-like clothing, the oddity stands there like a lifeless puppet whose strings have been tied to the ceiling for use in another day. However, unlike most puppets, this doll had no strings. It stood on its own freewill. Slowly, but surely, the doll-like face of the object moves, raising its head towards you by itself, changing its attention from its book to its observer. Is it alive? Perhaps its old joints are giving in to cause the movements. Staring at its smooth pale face, you notice the red lips form a wicked smirk and its lifeless eyes hold an amusing expression in their shape. Is it alive? You ask again as you look away from the eerie visage, turning your attention towards the floor and thoughts. Shaking off your doubts and fear, you go decide to go back and study the doll once more, only to find its not there…
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Saltski Circe
Elegant Summoner
She travels throughout the world, this harnesser of souls, spirits and summons, and calls upon the divine spirits to aid her in battle. No matter where she travels, even if others see her as a solo traveler, you may be rest assured that this person is never alone.
For inspiration, I actually looked to Yuna, from FF X. I've recently become a tad bit obsessed with her Sending dance and I wanted to try and create an outfit that I felt was something like that, yet at the same time uniquely my own. I certainly hope you like it <3
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Semper Amor Meus Maritus
Samira
Alone she walks, the roads unknown. Someday she hopes the path is shown, that his warm touch will guide her home.
HaHaHa my lame poemish intro... well there is my entry thanks to a few arm twisters. Its nice to see someone else entering too I hope you all join in, should be exciting and fun. Sent my trade offer as well.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. LightGrey_Shadow
Prometheus
Prometheus, the greek god who introduced fire to man, was put in shackles by Zeus for his betrayal. Everyday an eagle would com down and tear him open, but being immortal he could not die, so he went through the same torture everyday. Thats it

Alright. I've sent the entry fee. Here's the short story to go with my avatar:

Hollow eyes gaze steadily at an open leather bound book. Dark hair cascaded around its glassy skin as its head faces towards the contents of the untitled book. Dressed in a dark tuxedo-like clothing, the oddity stands there like a lifeless puppet whose strings have been tied to the ceiling for use in another day. Hmmm... This is certainly going alot slower than I expected. I thought we would atleast have a few more contestants by now.
Hmmm... I'll give it some time before I decide on what to do.

I'd like to take part, but I'm saving up for a demonbow and really can't spare 900gp until I'm done with that. crying Maybe if I'm quick I'll still be in time for the contest - I've never done an avi contest and it looks fun.
I do have an idea, though you should keep in mind that this is mostly just because I want to be able to join in. wink
Might I suggest that you might get more contestants with a lower entry fee - even if the prizes were lowered as well. My personal situation is that I really don't expect to win, so I'd be a lot more willing to spare 500gp than 900, pretty much regardless of what prizes were at stake - since I'd just be joining for the "Whee, an avi contest!" factor.
Also, it might be more fair if you couldn't see who was competing until it actually started, so later joiners don't get an advantage in knowing what they're up against before deciding to enter. Although it does take some of the fun out of watching as the contestants fill up. I don't know what the general practice is on this.
