I am planning to start learning the Cherokee Language. I figured posting lessons here would be a great way to help focus my lessons and actually help me learn. Who knows, if someone else is interested, maybe it will help them learn also.

For now I'm going to just reserve a few posts while I get organized about how I plan to tackle this project. I'll have a look around at the other language lesson threads to get some ideas for a good approach.

I'd be interested in that. Do you fluently speak it?

I'm interested as well. Cherokee is a part of my family history, and I'd love to learn more about my heritage.

I wish there were places around me where I could learn all sorts of languages.

I would love to learn Cherokke. It is a part of my heritage, but I have never learned to speak it.I love learning new languages and cultures so this would be fun, but it is even more important to me as it is a part of who I am.Do you speak fluently?

The only Cherokee I know is "nayu" (sand) and "amayashi" (island). Nayu Amayashi is an actual island close to where I live.

If anybody is teaching it please contact me, I would love to learn it, for the sake of saving a dying language.
