The kingdom of Ansolara was not always this chaotic. Years ago, the city enjoyed peace and prosperity under the rule of King Ravi. At least, that was the way it was until one of his servants turned against him.

To this day, the reasons given for Ellipsis' betrayal are few, but all accounts agree that the paladin's pride eventually got the best of her. Her jealousy of her king drove her to renounce her paladin status and delve into the black arts, culminating in King Ravi's murder at her hands, and with her followers, whom she christened the new kingdom Rizaan, Ellipsis nearly brought Ansolara to its knees.

The king's daughter, Princess Aoina, enlisted aid from the neighboring kingdoms of Tallok and Celestine, and together they ultimately defeated Rizaan. Ellipsis was promptly executed and her followers banished. But unbeknownst to any of them, a new leader has been crowned, and the newfound peace is certain to be a temporary one.

Name: Princess Aoina de Solara

Place of Origin: Ansolara
Powers: Can control sunlight and fire.
Appearance:
Personality: Regal and ladylike, but still fierce in battle.
Bio: Aoina has matured significantly following King Ravi's death. Technically she cannot become queen until she marries, but nonetheless she is loved and respected by her subjects.
Other: Nowadays Aoina spends much of her time either in the castle garden drawing various flowers there, or visiting her father's memorial.

Place of Origin: Tallok
Powers: Has super-strength, and can manipulate seismic waves.
Appearance:
Personality: Laid-back and youthful. Jayden cares little about his royal status, and a lot of this is reflected in his behavior.
Bio: When Ellipsis attempted to murder her way to power, Jayden was the first to attack the rogue paladin. The sheer fury he showed in the battle has led Aoina and Seleyna to question whether he had encountered her in the past, though nothing was ever proven.
Other: Despite the advice of his father and a considerable few court advisors, Jayden has often snuck out of the palace in the guise of a simple peasant. Only a select few within the royal court know this, however.

Race: Human
Place of Origin: Celestine
Powers: Can manipulate nocturnal light (moon and star light) and has limited healing powers.
Appearance:
Personality: Innocent and warm-hearted, but by no means immature. Can be very shy at times.
Bio: Seleyna's own father, King Adarian, passed away some time after Ellipsis' defeat. And more recently Queen Valynna, her mother, has left Celestine mostly in her care, feeling that Seleyna underestimates her capabilities too much.
Other: Like Jayden, Seleyna has also been known to walk among the common folk as one of them. However, Valynna almost always sees to it that at least one guard accompanies her for safety purposes.

:LOCATIONS:

Ansolara
This glorious country has suffered various drawbacks following the death of their king, but it has still remained relatively stable. Though Ansolara has already forged alliances with Tallok and Celestine, Princess Aoina is working to establish further ties among the other races.

Tallok
A country formed from a simple barbarian settlement, Tallok has advanced greatly over the years and now frequently exports weapons to Ansolara. It is also quite festive year-round, as special occasions are almost always made public.

Celestine
Despite the threat of Rizaan so long ago, Celestine has remained the most stable of the three major countries. It also maintains a distinctly rich trade in perfumes, spices, and other exotic wares. Though technically the throne of Celestine currently belongs to Queen Valynna following the death of the king, the queen has elected to have her daughter Seleyna handle most of the day-to-day affairs of Celestine.

Black Valley
This was where Ellipsis established her first camp during her conquest. Artifacts from the fallen regime can still be found here, but as it stands it is generally abandoned. Nonetheless, it has recently come to Aoina's attention that a considerable amount are seen lurking around recently.

Drakanda
A volcano, or so it appears. The drakons have formed an elaborate set of tunnels beneath the surface of the magma, where they have established a colony of sorts for many years. It is possible to enter or exit these tunnels via a hidden passage from the side of the mountain, although the primary mode of transportation outside of Drakanda is dragon riding.

Lynden Forest
A vast wooded area that connects the three major countries. Though it can be quite lovely to visit in the daytime, it is heavily populated by wraiths and orcs alike at night, and should generally be avoided in the hours of darkness by all but the most determined of adventurers.

Beyonna
A small town at the edge of Lynden Forest. This town is especially famous due to the local pub, The Snake's Den. It is a commonly held rumor that this pub is often frequented by incubi and succubi alike, as well as the occasional zombie. While some avoid the pub for this reason, others are very much attracted to the pub for the very same reason.

Nemuria
A coastal town. Since some merfolk can't live on land, this town's docks are as close as they can get. Those merfolk who can live on land seem to like this town anyway, and usually find a comfortable career in fishing and/or fishmongering.

Sylvarinda
The elven country, set at the northern border of Lynden Forest. Though elves don't usually tolerate the cheveyo, both races have managed recently to come to an agreement. Now the more battle-hardy cheveyo help protect Sylvarinda from wraiths and other monsters within Lynden Forest, and in return the elves give food and other supplies to the cheveyo.

Ilgardt
The dwarven country, set very near the black valley. Like the drakons did with Drakanda, the dwarves carved Ilgardt from an elaborate set of underground caves. Also like the drakons, the dwarves are gifted dragon tamers, and their primary mode of transportation outside of Ilgardt is by riding the dragons that often make their homes in the caves.
