Orochimaru is the snake sannin from Naruto. He's known for being the current leader of sound village, and a nuke-nin from both Konoha and the Akatsuki.

This is a tough one. While Orochimaru is fast and definately more powerful physically than Voldemort is, Voldemort also has all those Horcruxes so he's basically immortal, whereas Orochimaru can die.
Then again there is that crazy-cool (yet morally wrong >.> ) technique Orochimaru has where he can take over somebody's body. So if Orochimaru were poised and ready to take over Voldemort's body, I think he would most likely win, as Voldemort does not have the Sharingan and therefore will probably lose against the technique.
However, if Orochimaru were unable to use his arms, like in the aftermath of the fight against the third Hokage, Voldemort would definately win.
This is a tough one. XD. Overall, I'd say in most circumstances Orochimaru would win.

I am inclined to agree and not because I hold disrespect for the dark lord of Harry potter. Becasue all Orochimaru needs to do is his forbidden skill (resurection) Dumbeldore/ Sirius and bam doom for poor mister Voldemort. Voldermort may take down Orochimaru, but Voldemort cant take his nemisis and the cool boy, poor voldemort, orochimaru is so cheap...

While Orochimaru's fast and good in hand-to-hand Voldemort can apparate to a long distance from Orochimaru, and hit him with the Avada Kedavra curse long-range. yes and we are also forgeting the other many insane jutsus Orochimaru can do like: The triple demon gates or the snake assassination jutsu. there are many ways orochimaru can kill voldemort. Lets not forget to mention the ever so loved replacement jutsu, how can Voldemort contend with that? Answer: He really can't.

I personally believe Voldemort would win.
Orochimaru's Speed could be taken down with the spell Hermione used in the second movie on the pixies.
Then Voldemort would just have to AK his a**.

I concur with Belladonna Gallows simply because you all need to remember that Voldemort knows more curses than the killing curse. He can slow Orochimaru down and then paralyze him. After that Orochimaru wouldn't be able to use any jutsu whatsoever, making it useless. And unless there is some sort of jutsu that contradicts the powers of a curse, then Voldemort would have the advantage.
To say who would win is theoretical, so, theoretically, Voldemort would probably win... but it'd still be a pretty bad a** battle!! 3nodding

You will never know because you will never know the full extent of both parties. However while I still think the infamous Sannin would win I can at least give a reason why Voldemort would have a great advantage. My point is that Voldy doesn't really have a limit of spells, where Orochimaru has to weigh his option as he doesn't want to use all his chakra at once. However I think that Voldermort is screwed in the Summoning Jutsu department. Please anyone tell me when and what would allow Voldemort to summon a 35 story twin headed snake. I didn't think so, Orochimaru may be limited by his chakra but his abilities and jutsus are so much greater then Voldemorts petty spells.

Im not choosing a side but, Oro would have a very difucult time killing "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" XD
because think of it.
Voldemort. Tried to kill harry, but since his mother had died for him he coulden't and the curse backfired onto...VOLDEMORT. And he survived, just barley, but he survived. So....Im not so sure...

ild say that voldemort would win, mostly becuase of his curses and spells. it dosn't matter how many bodies you have if you're dead

In a one on one battle Voldemort will win because of his Horcruxes so unless Orochimaru took them out before hand then he doesnt stand a chance.
However, if the Horcruxes were taken out then I reckon Orochimaru would have no trouble dodging/blocking spells and taking Voldemort down.
