Hey guys. I'm watching Naruto over from the beginning just for fun. And I think I picked up a little clue.
NOTE I haven't read the manga so I don't know what happens later, no spoilers!
Anyway, In episode 51, just after the Chuunin Exam preliminary matches, there is a conversation between Kabuto and Orochimaru (HATE HIM!), anyway. Orichimaru mentions Naruto saying he is having an undesirable effect on Sasuke's heart, and that he should be removed from the picture. There is a slight moment, and it gives a hint that Kabuto may have his own plans regarding Naruto... Very mysterious.
Theories? Ideas? Let's talk about it. No spoilers please!

I kinda took this romantically for a second... -shudders-
But, he might have an idea with the Kyuubi sealed inside Naruto. Like, brainwash him or something for their own personal use.

Haha. That's the same bit. But It's odd. Orochimaru tells Kabuto to kidnap Sasuke. And he then says if Kabuto plans to stop Orochimaru, he should hurry up and kill Sasuke. Then he says "Just kidding, get back to work."
Later though, Kakashi meets Kabuto in Sasuke's hospital room. But it's not clear wether Kabuto planned to kidnap Sasuke or kill him...
I think that whole segment is full of clues and hints. It's totally exciting. lol.
