Apparantly Higurashi is being licensed by Geneon, titled 'When They Cry.' Both regular and special editions are to be released June 5, 2007.

Does anybody have a picture of the full volume 1 art box? Everyone I look, I only see that Satoko and Rena picture from one side of the box. (lol, the box sure gives off a wrong impression of the series. From seeing that, you'd expect Higurashi to be a cute fluffy harem anime with catgirl maids.)

I have the first DVD. I haven't really watched the dub, but from when I flipped through that version, it sounds pretty good, to tell you the truth.

I saw the first 2 episodes in english online.
It was ok but not that good.

Jirachi_girl I saw the first 2 episodes in english online. It was ok but not that good. Well, it's really all about the fact that it's on a bigger screen at home... and not censored at all (yes, they did censor in on Japanese TV, there's even MORE blood and gore now).

Kagaitsuki Jirachi_girl I saw the first 2 episodes in english online. It was ok but not that good. Well, it's really all about the fact that it's on a bigger screen at home... and not censored at all (yes, they did censor in on Japanese TV, there's even MORE blood and gore now). yeah :3 I have all the DVDs now and I'm happy its uncensored!!!! its too bad that the company who was doing the english dub episodes stopped doing them at episode 14 D:
