Hey, welcome to the new Twilight Terrace: Literary Haven. This guild is a book discussion for all those who love books. Come and discuss your favorite books and authors in a freindly environment!
All guilds must have rules, though, and here are mine.
a.) All books and discussions must be and remain PG-13
b.) Bashing other people and books is not allowed. We respect your intrests, and you will respect ours
c.) Please don't use chatspeak. We like literacy in the Haven.
d.) Put things in the appropriate forum
e.) Try to stay on topic. The Common Room is for all not-book related topics
f.) Please post at least one new topic in the guild, to get new discussions started
g.) Have fun! Keep an open mind and try new things.
I'm Capitan L.E. by the way. You can call me Bob, though.
Feel free to start discussions about your favorite books!

I understand not bashing other people and books, but is it alright to criticize books in a debatable manner that (hopefully) does not offend the fans of the book/s in question?

In a debateful manner, yes. Just not "Oh, I hate harry potter because it's stupid" or "I hate it because it has magic" If you say, I don't agree with the views in harry potter, or if you are debating a point, that's fine.
