In the "Hollywood-worthy..." thread we got off on a tangent about dancing. So now that we have a thread about JE singing, how about a thread about JE dancing?

Well, obviously, I'll start off with my love. XD As far as Junno is concerned, you can say that his moves are sometimes exaggerated, but I really think he is one of the best dancers in JE (*is really trying to put bias aside*). For instance, if you watch Kuruikaketa Haguruma (I can spell that off the top of my head! HA!) the choreography is really odd but you notice that his moves are really precise and he's able to do the most difficult moves. Then when the others join him, you can tell he is one of the better dancers. No offense to the others and JE choreographers, but if he was in a group that was able to be really precise with their dancing you can see just how good he is (ex. DBSK... SORRY, i'm currently in a DBSK phase >w<) And let us not forget his tapdancing, his huge flips, and the trademark spins. He is indeed known as the dancer of KAT-TUN.

Alright, I gave a small rant, it's YOUR turn. 3nodding

Sai, you're too cute. xD <3

Anyway, when it comes to dancing, I will say Junno is probably top notch with it. In his solo for Kaizokuban, his moves were right on...he was getting all the counts right and everything. And I know a thing or two about dancing, seeing as I've been dancing since I was four. xp With JE, in a whole, however...I will admit they are not the BEST dancers. However, they do one thing great when they do dance; It's all together. If I watch a bunch of bands there, there is close to none, or very little dancing. And when they do dance, they have a hard time staying together. However, JE and other Asian stars (ex. DBSK, G&M, etc...) always are together...no matter how weird their cheograhpy might look. =)

I agree with Jin-hime when I say out of ALL of JE, I consider Tsubasa to be the best solo dancer, and KAT-TUN as the best group of dancers. Even with the mistakes they make, you can always tell they're concentrating all their efforts on it, and the results show. They work together and compliment each other extremely well.

I think Junno has great potential for dancing, but they put that potential more into his acrobatics sometimes. Though when he does get his chances, such as in Kaizokuban and during Seishin, his talent really shows. He's got a lot of skill.

Kame dances like a stripper. (I'M SORRY BUT IT'S TRUE AND I HAD TO SAY IT.)

I think NewS has great group dancing. In Sayaendou they all dance in sync and it's great. You can tell they master the techniques well. I'd say they are first when it comes to best JE group dancers and KAT-TUN second. I've just seen KAT-TUN mess up more...even though they recover right after well. I'm not saying NewS has flaws, but they are just more advanced in it I guess.

And yes, my husband is a stripper. <3

When it comes to JE my all time favorite dancer is Tsubasa, like Pixi and Jin-hime said, he is the best solo dancer. I think Ohno from Arashi is a good dancer as well. So he's also on my favorite solo dancer list. When it comes to group dancing, I don't really think they do so well. I fell that the are often out of sync. KAT-TUN is good a dancing, kinda. They are better than the other bands. I have to agree with Kazu as well, Saynedou is one of my favorite videos because I love the dance and how they move together. Another dancer that I like is Hina from K8. He is actually really really really good. But the best dancers are the Jr's. You have to admit. When they are juniors they dance their butts off because that's all the basically can do is backup dance.

P.S: One of the Kinki Kids is a good dancer.

I know don't much about Kinki Kids. xD I actually haven't even seen them dance or anything. Hahaha. I do think Arashi has some good dancers. I think Sho does a good job...well in their We can make it! PV they all do a great job. It's cute, their dancing. xp heart In PVs the boys tend to do better than live. *nods*

Gomen. I'm not fimilar with Kinki Kids so I can't really say who is who, especially since they have the same last name. That only confuses me more. But I think its Tsuyoshi Domoto who is a really good dancer. They are both good but I like him better.

Let's focus this on a certain group: Arashi. Have you guys seen Sunrise Nippon? Cute vid with cute choreography. They're really good. I dunno about now, but I think as far as JE goes they were (are?) the best overall as far as... getting it together and pulling off fun and cool moves.

KAT-TUN is THE group for sexiest dancing... I don't think we have any debate about that (ok, MAYBE T&T but let's consider them a duo here).

Arashi is the best. No contest. I forgot to add Jun on my favorite JE dancers list which is odd because I noticed his dancing before any other JE's.

KAT-TUN is the group of the sexy dancing, I can say that, but at times I believe that Kanjani 8 is also the group of the sexy dancing. But K8 does so much weird stuff that its hard to say what kind of dancing they do. The don't Ero-Ero dance, although there have been times when Subaru, Ryo, and even Ohkura have crossed the line. They just.....dance. No particular style, they just do whatever.

According to Jin-hime, there were/are four "dancing kings" of the JE legacy. Higashiyama from Shounentai (he did the original Andalucia ni Akogarete... and DAMN was it incredible), Nagasaki from Hikaru Genji, Domoto Koichi from KinKi Kids, and Tsubasa. I've only seen two out of these four, but from what I HAVE seen, I totally agree with this. heart

Other then the kinki and Tsubasa I never knew who the other two Dancing Kings were. Now I do. And now I can look for them. I want to see then dance.

I have yet to see Nagasaki-san... and I could stand to see a little more of Higashiyama-san, but...Shounentai is the epitome of the Japanese 80s, and I hate the 80s. xD heart So I've refrained.

Well I looked up Higashiyama's Andalucia performance in Shounen Club.

Higashiyama: Andalucia ni Akagarete

This performance is AWESOME. His moves and even the moves of the backup dancers are so sharp and precise... something you don't see as much now. MUCHO IMPRESSIVE. I really like this performance!

I also tried to look up Nagasaki but I could only find his group. They had one performance that took place when I was a month old! @.@

I DO know for a fact that Domoto Koichi and Tsubasa definitely fit the role as "dancing kings"! <3
