Tool has saved my life, what have they done for you? Tool is everything to me. Their lyrics are my bible and their songs are my church hymns. I worship them. What has Tool done for you?

They changed my life musically, and if I wasen't into them, then I would still be listening to crap.

Lets say that I had a hard life the past two years and was trapped in my room. This music had saved me from my darker side along with a pencil and paper.

Before I listened to Tool, I was EXTREMELY easily stressed out, and most of the time was. I don't know what it is about Tool, but after I started listening to it, I slowly became more relaxed about life. And now I really don't stress that much.
But around the time I started listening to Tool was when I started smoking pot... so that might have been it. But listening to Tool is like a ministone for me, since my mind associates Tool with pot because I listened to them every single time I was stoned, and so now it kinda puts me in that kind of mindset when I'm sober, which is completely pure awesome. As long as I worded that all right and thought of the right words. I'm bad with putting thoughts into words. They're way to complex...

To me, Tool is a release. All I have to do if I have a bad day is lay in a dark room and turn up Tool and let it flow through me. It's almost spiritual.
They also influenced the music/lyrics I write today.

They inspired me to kick more a** playing bass. I like Paul D'Amour and Justin Chancellor. Before I started playing, like any other band, they got me thinking about life, the universe, and everything and influenced my life the way most music does.
They didn't save my life or inspire me to live better. Their songs are good inspiration for when I'm writing stories (I do that too). But they are my favorite band, and I respect how awesome they were right from the start. The drums have been excellent since Opiate.
