Hey!
Since I figure we are all book savy, we could use a English thread. Here we could talk about what we are learning, reading, writing or if anyone needs some basic help in our English Classes. Maybe you can't figure out how to write this next paper or need help understanding a book some of us may have read.
Let's talk Literate!

Me too. If we read the same stuff they did this year, it'll be Hamlet and Darkheart or Ravenheart among other things.

Yeah. Normal English can get kinda boring. Especially when you've already read the books. That is never very much fun. Or when you have to try and hold a good group talk on the book, and over HALF of the kids didn't read it. That drives me insane!

Same here. and when the teacher knows that nobody reads the book, so she explains everything, and tells what's foreshadowing! IT completely ruined the plot of Tale of Two Citites for me.

I read the entire book, pretty much, by myself beacuse I missed some school and my class watched the movie...It was funny. I had a better understanding of the book...

Personally...I was reading college books in 6th grade, so it's little downgrading when I go into my Advanced classes...The books are so...Low leveled and dull not to meantion the I too have a class who doesn't read the book....Though, this year, I have some good books to read over summer break, like the Catcher in the Rye, and Huckleberry Finn, but has anyone heard of Our eyes upon god..or something of the sort in title, I have to read it, yet I have not a clue to what it is about?

Me neither. I'd help if I knew. We're supposed to read Catcher in the Rye next. Though...I don't think we have much time since we get out the 20th of June. Late...but still not much time.
