I'm reading State of the Art, by Ian. M. Banks. Some of his stuff is completely twisted (the Wasp Factory) but I love it. More of a violent and considerably less chaste version of Asimov; very clever with good plot twists. Maybe less interlectual, but still very good.

At this very moment, The Theory and Practice Of Oligarchical Collectivism, more commonly known as "Goldstein's Book". Other than that, I'm working my way through The Banished And The Banned by James Clemens

Lovecraft is on the List, I just haven't got around to finding any of his books (I don't like reading extensively online).

Novel: I just finished Good Omens two days ago...going to start on The Mists of Avalon later.
Non-fiction: Chopin: The Four Ballades...one of the Cambridge Music Handbooks. I'm doing some background studying since I'm working on the A-flat major Ballade right now.

I'm doing some background studying since I'm working on the A-flat major Ballade right now. I read a rather extensive introduction to my Chopin book by one of his pupils that gave me quite an insight into how to play his pieces. I really need to work on my legato! Thankfully though, I've been doing loads of staccato scale practice so my staccato is getting so much better, which is good considering I'm learning Rachy's Prelude in G minor. I'm reading Olympos now, which is uber good, very violent and rather un-chaste, mwhaha...

Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier
It's amazing. That first sentence is just the most perfect start to a book anyone could think of. I love Daphne as an author...
Last night I dreamed I went to Manderly again.
I'm also reading through several books on the evolution of musical form, Chopin and music theory as a whole.

Oh, I like the first sentence of Of Mice and Men: "A few miles south of Soledad..." Soledad meaning loneliness in Spanish. Ironically amusing in the sense of the book.

I absolutely adore the one from the Etudes-Tableaux. <3

I don't feel like reading much at the moment... I've run out of Asimov crying I should really go into town sometime. Oh, well.
