Hey, just an rp idea I had, thought it might be an interesting change of pace from the other rps where you form a crew and head for One Piece. I have a few rules for this rp:
1. For the LOVE OF GOD, BE LITERATE! I cannot stand people who post semilegible monstrosities with no sense of grammar or spelling. If I feel you are coming dangerously close to breaking this rule, I will inform you.
2. Obviously, follow the TOS. Keep it PG-13, folks
3. Don't make your character too godly. Please, be at least remotely realistic. No superpowered devil fruits, or having more than one devil's fruit, or being Shichibukai level at the start of the rp.
Other than that, have fun! This post will be the longest, as I am setting up the story.
Ten years ago, on Kotara Island...
Explosions came down all around Daisuke (that's me!), miraculously missing him. The noises deafened his ears, and shrapnel gave him minor scrapes, but mostly he was fine. The same could not be said of his village.
The largest buildings had been leveled by the pirates' cannons. All around him, he saw pirates running around, their cutlasses mowing down the villagers around him. Everyone he knew...his family, his friends...were being killed before his eyes.
To his horror, the captain of the crew saw him. Their eyes locked for a moment, and the man smiled. He walked towards Daisuke, grinning.
"Do you want to kill me, boy?" Daisuke was too horrorstruck to say anything.
"Heh. Too weak." The captain motioned to his crew. "Grab what you want and head back to the ship! The Marines will be coming soon!" The captain, still laughing at Daisuke, walked away.
Daisuke sat, quivering for a few more hours. That was how the Marines found him, and Daisuke vowed never to be so weak again. Especially against pirates....
Present day, Marine Headquarters.
The old man in charge of the base sighed, and looked up at Daisuke, who was now eighteen years old. He had recently been chosen to captain a ship that was patrolling East Blue, even though he was only an Ensign. Most of the higher ranked officers were on the Grand Line.
"Are you ready, Daisuke?" The old man looked at him. "Do you have a crew prepared?"
Daisuke looked back at him, his curly brown hair nearly covering his eyes.
"I've seen a few people I might ask."
There you go! Obviously, anyone who joins will have to be a person who joins the crew, as a marine. Don't just make an introductory post, continue the story! Feel free to make my character(Daisuke) approach you, but stop once he reaches you. I want to control what he says, but you can control how we meet.

Jeht starts as a young boy on a island. He is bored by the island life...but it all change 1 day when marines came and searching for pirates. We were all being taking alway by the marines till the pirates came from their hiding place and attacked with us the villagers being in the middle of all of the fighting. Most of us died anda few got alway. I was one of them who got alway. I got in one of the pirate ships and hid in it. The captain found me and i had to join the pirates. Now i am 24 making my own crew....

sailing on a boat and sees a pirates he heads towards them in hopes of having a easy fight and some gold
