Do you enjoy Jim's antics?
Do you enjoy watching live performances?
Do you enjoy Ray Manzarek's keyboarding skills and solos?

What do you enjoy that's related to The Doors?

I love all of those but to if you asked me what I loved most its their style of uniqueness....the was their guitar was could be loose and wild, the keyboard could be an upbeat tune or an organlike power, the drums were loud and rythmic, and then there's Jim...his sense of mystique and powerful, cryptic, and sometimes dark words of poetry that mean so much even without music, but with the added wholeness of the band gave them meaning beyond any musical boundaries....that my friend is The Doors.

Yes. Yes. Yes.

I love the fact that when I turn on the radio, and I hear a Doors song, I know it's a Doors song. Their sound, obviously influenced by blues and a bit psychedelic, has a unique flavor that is PURELY theirs. I love how Jim just let go... vocally, physically, and mentally, and transmitted his lyrics like poetry. Ray's keyboard playing was ahead of it's time, and a key element to The Doors. I've never heard a keyboard solo like his.

Oh, I think I just fell in love with The Doors all over again...
heart heart heart

I once read that Jim Morrison wrote like Edgar Allen Poe on drugs.

I love it that way.

He was. I read some of his poetry. It was pretty much all about sex and drugs, haha, but it was interesting.
