my favourite art is sequential art, like films and comic and so on. I prefer dynamic to static art, although I enjoy the latter too. xD

Hmm, my fave form is actually something odd, thought. THere is something about how you put things together in your mind visually, audibly, and tactilesk that does it for me. THings that I imagine top anything I can create or see in real life.
I'm not sure if that makes sense to anyone out there, but it's fun just to look into yourself and feel what you see with your eyes closed.

I love pencil drawing...I luv it so much maybe cuz I'm good at it. I also like watercolors and digital medium. In school we've tried every medium...from Prints to Sculpture... I really enjoyed pastels as a drawing technique. Also lino prints!! I love them. Maybe I'll post one here soon.

I can picture something in my head in perfect detail and the entire atmosphere, but if I try to draw it it becomes muddled in my head and ruins it a bit. I tried with a picture once and I just couldn't capture... well, really most of it.

Most things that I've tried I've had to take specific classes for, but I learned the traditional basics (watercolor, oil, charcoal, pastels) in art school when I was younger. I really enjoy pencil drawings because you can do them anywhere and there isn't a process to start (like in oills and such). I haven't done too much in prints, but watercolor was my favorite for a while, too.

My favorite type of art is essentially performing arts and pretty much just visual art :];. For performing arts I'm pretty much of a loser [not really XD] I really love being a performer or listening to the music--like classical music  it lets me think alot about the interpretation and its just exciting to listen to. As for visual art, I'm not too sure sweatdrop

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. sometimes I wish I could just grasp that idea/concept/picture in my head, and let people see it. it's so much harder when I have to capture it through some medium just so that I can show it to other people. sad a lot of beauty is lost.

First of all there's something special in working in an ensemble, I think. and performing just gives me such a thrill, to be able to transform something like music into a visual art. x)

I do tap and jazz, and I'm not too great, but I really love, and it feels so great when you do it full out perfectly.

animatique- :] yes working in ensembles is so wonderful! its so much different than any other class, it really is, and having eye conversations with your conductor, with him giving you this, 'YOU'RE WRONG!' look is the best/worst thing ever. My wind ens's last rehearsal was just two mornings ago, I felt like crying D:, we performed a piece we had previously performed last year at carnegie, it was only site reading for half of us, but it still felt wonderful...i'm blabbering now smile
and my art class just ended this friday, I'll miss mrs. lucas yelling at me for talking too much/loudly D: ]/color]

Too bad the classes you loved ended. My jazz teacher is finally not embarassed by our dance, she stopped yelling at us 4laugh rofl . She said she likes it now, since everyone is starting to learn it better and better. (the show isn't for quite a while)....

While enjoy theatre and visual arts in general as much as the next person, my forte is music. Rock, classical, rap (limited as there is little creativity in the mainstream of that genre), techno, reggae, blues, jazz, etc. I've been in a couple bands, all have broken up due to in-fighting between the other members. My style of playing guitar is somewhere between Sublimeish and Jimi Hendrix (not that I'm as good as either, their just examples).
