It's a perfect example of a 'high-school teenager love'.
Have you noticed that whenever Inuyasha shows ANY kind of intimate feelings for Kikyou (when he can't even help it), Kagome gets mad at him and just treats him like a mean jerk? Also, there's the whole 'SIT BOY' deal.
Is that supposed so show some kind of 'romance'? Nah. Maybe it's supposed to show how she's 'the one in control', but it's just annoying. D';
And the first reason why Inuyashas fell in love with Kagome anyways was because she reminded him of Kikyou.
InuKik, on the other hand, seems more 'realistic'. He fell in love with her, not because she 'looked' like someone, but because she was kind, caring, and loving. He felt compassion towards her because of her personality and all. Although they were enemies, they both met one day, and love bloomed. And there wasn't any 'yelling' or 'SIT BOY' or 'jealously', just a perfect, MATURE, and love like they're ADULTS, not some teenagers. Inuyasha was even willing to turn into a human to be with her, and same with Kikyou.

If there love was supposed to be so stong and all, when Kikyo got resurected why did she hunt after Inuyasha to kill him!?
And with Kagome and Inuyasha yeah your right that AT the begining he liked Kagome just because she looked like kikyo, but he later loved Kagome for Kagome. 3nodding

Well, if you THOUGHT you were betrayed, and your love was betrayed, you'd try to kick that guy's nuts. =3
I mean, if you were betrayed like that, and he killed you, would you just say 'Oh, it's ok. I don't care if he ended my life anyways.' ?
It's none of their fault. Their love was sepearted due to a horrible fate. And besides, after their first 1 or 2 meetings, she didn't try to kill him. In fact, she tried to HELP them kill Naraku. =/
I didn't say that their love was like 'SO STRONG NOTHING COULD PENETRATE IT'. It was real, it was mature, compared to InuyashaxKagome. Kagome's love for Inuyasha is so...RRG! So childlish, so 'teenager-love' like. So...cliched and boring, overall. =/

Inuyasha still longing for Kikyo is fine, but once he found out she had died, and 50 years had gone by... not to mention that SHE was the one who pinned him to that tree (I tell you.. if it were me, it wouldn't matter how much a cared for someone, you shoot me with an arrow and pin me to some tree for 50 years with out so much as pee break... I'll kill you) he should have moved on.

Well, lets face it; Inuyasha (not really inuyasha) betryaed her trust, tried to kill her, broke her heart, and swore to destroy the village. All of that in just one second. I don't know about you, but I'd be pissed. Pissed beyond of all the...pissed off ness?
Also, she didn't even kill him in the end. She kept him alive, but unconcious, and he didn't even grow older. I'd say she was pretty nice. She didn't kill him, barely hurt him (I saw no blood when she shot him...O.o), and kept his age the same.

Well, Kagome isn't even born in his time She has matured, she doesn't resort to the SIT command nearly as much as she use to, and for the majority of the times she's told him to sit, they have been of bring him back under control or to teach him a lesson. And Kagome may not have been born in the feudal era but she spends most of her time there, saying that Inuyasha and Kagome can't be together because they weren't born in the same era is a pretty shallow claim if you ask me. -Tibby P.S.:Quote: She didn't kill him, barely hurt him (I saw no blood when she shot him...O.o), and kept his age the same. You wanna know what pisses me off? People calling Kirara a non supportive character, and saying that she's nothing more than a mount who serves no purpose to the the plot. How she isn't any more important than Kagome's cat.

ANd don't say its because hes teh main character! D"; As much as Kikyo hated him she either couldn't bring herself to kill him or she didn't have the strength to finish him off. I don't hate this pairing, I only think Inuyasha X Kagome are a better pair, Kikyo is dead after all.
