Monaco Bay Weyr, or just Monaco Weyr, was founded during the 9th Pass to handle the amount of dragons that had come to the Southern Continent. It had to be rebuilt towards the end of the 9th Pass when it was almost fully destroyed by a comet. After completion was reached, Monaco Weyr thrived and grew into a respected Weyr, but as the Interval came, Monaco slowly became isolated from the other Weyrs of Pern.
Now, the 10th Pass has came and Monaco Bay's wings have been decimated by a new disease. Luckily, the disease moved on, but it left many problems in its wake. Monaco now looks to reuild its lost ties to the other Weyrs and seeks out help.
