(anime spoilers-highlight to read)
Geez. At the ending of the anime, you find out that Envy's Edward's older half brother. And then, he stabs Ed. What the heck!? That is a really CRAPPY way to die. xD I mean, Ed just sits there doing NOTHING, and Envy stabs him. xD T-T He's so mean.
(end spoilers)
In the manga, Envy just hates the human race, but at least you don't get a horrid plot twist and a really crappy ending. xD

I really don't like Envy as much as some of the other Homunculi. He's a jerk, seriously! And he really ruined the ending of the anime for me. This is why I stick to the manga now. (Depressed...) Anyway, if you've played BBI, Envy is a jerk there, too. I HATED him in that game, omg. DDD: Still, in the manga, I have to admit he's not quite as bad; he's got the same hatred for all humans, but at least it's not so... directed at single people. I forget what else I was going to say. Oh, right. I think all of the Homunculi are apathetic to begin with (or maybe just incapable of caring, completely), so it's not so much just Envy. It's just Envy's apathetic-ness that comes out into the open more often, since he's the most active physical demeaning cruel? I don't know. But yea. I hated him in the anime. I was like, "HOW COULD YOU?!" gonk

I actually thought the stabbing part suited it, since Envy got his "revenge" of sorts, and everyone's happy.
Well, except Ed, he'd be dead.

Envy had no reason to hate on Ed! Except for the fact that they're apparently "half-brothers". This all adds up to why I hate the anime. Well, not hate. But don't like. Anyway. I don't think it was enough revenge, anyway. Don't you think that Envy would still want to keep on killing because he's apathetic and emotionless? He's not bothered by death, so why stop?

He hates Ed because when their father tried to bring Envy back to life, he rejected Envy because of how he looked: like a hideous zombie being. So he went on with Ed and Al's mom and out they popped.
Envy hated being rejected, so he decided to kill Ed as a revenge of sorts.
That's why Envy hates Ed: because their father "prefered" him over Envy.

Um, but that's not Ed's fault. xD If anything, Envy should have been hating Hoho. And that didn't even happen until the movie! I dunno if this whole thing was as a result of him being angry at being rejected. I mean, the Homunculi aren't capable of feeling in the anime; they're dolls!
If anything, I was always up for the idea that Ed and Envy joined together against Hohenheim. It would amuse me quite a bit.
Anyway, this = more reasons to love the manga.

Eeh, that's not what I mean, but I can't think of it now. Did I mean that they aren't capable of feeling in the manga? I think so. Though Gluttony did the same thing in the manga. Anyway, it makes more sense, if you consider how Homunculi are created in the anime, that they would be able to feel human emotion.
But I dunno still...

Anime_freakk! You said that they weren't able to feel any emotions at all. -_-; I meant that I didn't think they should be able to feel emotions. However, I think it's more viable in the anime that they do feel them, since they're actually representations of people who died (results of failure), while Homunculi in the manga are NOT (they were just CHOSEN). However, I don't think it's true. But I always thought that they shouldn't be able to feel emotions since they have no souls.
