Now i have heard talk that the new series will stay true to the manga and not add any unneccesary storylines...but there has been talk about premeiring the Kakashi Gaiden during the regular airtime of the show. Would Kakashi Gaiden qualify as 'fillers'? or would anybody not mind seeing it.
I wouldn't mind if it aired during the show, (as in during a break or such) or if they did it as a movie. On the note of normal fillers I dont think i would watch them...
What do you guys think?

-giggles- I had done this like a few months back about the fillers...
Maybe you'll be able to get a better reponse crowd.. then I did.
Then again you are talking about something completely different then what I had...
Heck I would be happy to see a side story or a filler about Kakashi... actually it would be cool if it was right after th saving Garaa saga... so it can be like Kakashi reflecting on his life... -shrugs- don't know how they'll do it.. but that's good they'll put it in.

Perhaps I've missed this in the series, but has it mentioned how Kakashi got his Sharingan? Seems odd to me that he only has it in one eye...

I think it would be cool if they put in the Kakashi Gaiden. It wouldn't be pointless fillers b/c it would actually explain things, just incase some people don't read the manga.

The kakashi gaiden thing wouldn't be considered filler by most Naruto enthusiasts, because it was actually part of the manga, and does tie into developing Kakashi's character, and learning more about him.
this is completely different from the full year of fillers they did just before the timeskip, because those did absolutely nothing for Naruto. he learned no new moves, any moves anyone ever learned will never be used again by those characters, we learned nothing new about anybody, and almost everyone who was involved in any of it either died or permanently retired. (& is not likely to be seen again)... the full year of fillers only served to make naruto be something worse than what DBZ is... though luckily it didn't get there.
Like Shironu-san said, we don't know how Kakashi got his sharingan, or why he is the way he is, like when he always goes to that monument every morning & is late... the Gaiden arc explains that. plus, we learn a bit about Yondaime. ^^

the thing about naruto is it doesnt give us fillers until it apsolutely needs to but when it does they last for ******** ever
if it started regular fillers again id stop watching until they ended im not putting up with all that again
for kakashi gaiden i wouldnt mind watching them and it would be a good option if they need fillers
if the gaiden were made into a movie i dont think it would be too good since its more of a series sort of thing in my opinion

There's only one word to describe my emotions now. Wow. I just watched/read Kakashi Gaiden on Youtube. *Sniffle* It was so sad! But a lot of things there make sense to me now. It was an interesting plot. Wow!
