even though the forum is dead moving. i still wanted to post.
obviously everyone knows about the new girl to Disney's Princess group.

The Frog Princess Tiana, former Maddy.

can't wait for it! actually i can. but you get the idea.
totally hate how so many critics and groups influence Disney to a point to change their own character!

i felt the name Maddy fit more then Tiana.
a lot of people say "so what, Disney has plenty of diverse princesses"
which is true. but for some reason this new character is just a shock for a lot of people, including me. i dont really remember Dis having a black female lead or character in their animated movies. and i know they were just going with fairytales.

if this continues, lol they maybe able to cover every ethnic type of princess in the world.


So what are your feelings on the new Afro-American Disney Princess?

I agree, I think it's good they're going to have an arican-american princess. Also, why Tiana? in my opinion, Maddy would be way better.

apparently a lot of people found the name "maddy" racist (to close to mammy) rolleyes so they switched it to "tiana" i guess its suppose to be short for "christiana"

point being, you were far more likely to hear girls named maddy back in the 20's than tiana. i'm surprised people dont complain how ghetto-ish tiana sounds xd

if i every do fanart of her i will title it maddy then tiana.

hmm wonder when Disney will do a Japanese Princess movie...
i can just picture it being gorgeous. hopefully 2-D...but i'm sure 3-D would look nice.
